I should have included Freddie. Unbelievable voice, incredible charisma. Definately a top rock voice!!!!

For me it would probably be between Layne Staley and Scott Weiland.

 

If I were going more classic rock then I would say Robert Plant.

I don't like Robert Plant, so I didn't mention him. :p

David Clayton Thomas of " Blood Sweat and Tears " had great rock and roll pipes , also don't slight Joe Cocker and Dr. John .

Based upon this list that you provide I have to go with Rodgers of Bad Company but I would take Robert Plant or Neil Young way before I would consider the guys in this poll.

:thumb:Possibly the best rock singer ever.

Honestly, I know Mick Jagger isn't the best singer, but his voice is one of the most tolerable of all "classic" bands. All the singers math has listed are good or great, but I could only stand to hear them for a few songs. I can only listen to one AC/DC song a day, doctor's orders. I would probably go with Bono from Rockmoms list over all mentioned. Joe Strummer from Mack's list is also a good one... he doesn't sing the same way for every song, and I have recently actually been listening to The Clash a lot more. London Calling is quickly climbing the Ramboard charts.

For the record, Roger Clyne is my all time favorite singer, but he's not "classic" enough for this thread.

I'm going to confess that I have no idea who he is.

I also admit that I still have no idea who or what a "Toto" is, I always thought that it was Dorothy's little dog.:D
