Big Brown wins the 134th Kentucky Derby

I told u guys to stay away from Pyro

Pyro is still a very good horse. I knew that you would say that. But in a twenty horse field his finish isn't surprising. He ran as good a race as he could from his break. If he runs in the Preakness it could be interesting with the much more narrow track.

The main reason that I think that Big Brown can win the Triple this year, is that this crop of 3 year olds, isn't one of the strongest in recent years. That said, it would not diminish the feat whatsoever if he did bring it home, and I will be rooting for him.

And I think that is what 98 and I were getting at all week. Pyro is a good horse but was going to have to come from way WAY back to win. And that takes a lot of luck. The perfect trip in a 20 horse field is to sit 4-5. Sure Street Sense came from way back but that was purely luck with the rail opening up. Giacomo came from way back but thats just becaue all the horses ahead of him were too close to quick fractions.

I dont see many horses wanting to face Big Brown in the Preakness. He just laughed at them in the Derby and ran a farther distance being hung wide around both turns. I would be suprised to see more than 8 horses in the next two legs.

Agree completely....

BROWNS WIN THE SUPER BOWL!

Wait, nevermind.

 You never know, I ain't betting that but then again.......

Anyone else waiting for all of the hype now? "Big Brown has the potential to win the triple crown."

Well, I guess that he does, he is the only one that could this year. (lol)

Great peformance by a very good looking race horse in Big Brown.

Yet, the day was saddened by the death of another fine horse in Eight Belles, that was tough to watch.

$30 across the board on Big Brown for me!

Hit the exacta and had eight belles to show.

You knew I was going to say it, but I was right.

I agree he is a very good horse. Doesn't make me wrong though.

Here was my post in the prediction thread.

I haven't been on Pyro at all even in the Prep.

Iam looking for a match with Big Brown for some exacta money and will most likely throw a decent sized tri down, no clue who yet though.

I do have a sleeper, Eight Belles! I like her!

I had a $10 Ex with 20-5, and had 50 to win on Big Brown!

Another good Derby day for me!

In total I had $110 out in bets, cashed in for about $950 or something like that. I had some other winners too from earlier in the day included in that.

Dang, now I have to pick Pyro.

Big Brown may be the next "Big Red".

Not even close. 1:59.4 for Secretariat. 2:01.8 for Big Brown. Do you have any idea how big a 2.4 second gap is in horse racing?

I do, but Big brown is the class of the 3's this year, and I don't think it's even close.
