I voted moderate today, if you would have asked me when I was younger than I would have said extremely, obsessive about winning.

Although when I first read this thread, it reminded me of that great joke Dane Cook did about playing Monopoly with his grandmother.

I am also extremely competitive in everything I do--it can be both good and bad. I don't think anyone likes to lose, but it really, really burns me up. I have to reign it in considerably now that my children are playing competitive sports--I don't want to be one of those "baseball moms" or "soccer moms" that we all know. Fortunately my competitive streak does not apply nearly as severely to my children. I want them to do their best and have fun, and if they win--great, but I don't stew over it.

I put considerably. The reason being is that I hate losing but I am also realistic.

My team playing a team that I know we cannot compete with and we lose, I can handle it. Any other situation and I don't like losing.

I especially don't like losing when we lose rather than the other team beats us. Meaning in baseball we lose 4-0 and all 4 runs are earned and we don't hit the ball, that I don't like.

I'm very competitive in anything I do..........Not always a good trait.

:thumb: I'm there as well, I will give congrats and credit to the teams that beat me and not make excuses but I HATE losing.

Back in the day I was really competitive and could not stand to lose at anything and I just would not accept it. Now that I am older I have learned to accept it for what it is. Still get riled when the Cats lose. JD

I am an absolute jerk on the court (or field, diamond, even playing chess). I have been now for routinely yelling at my teammates who try to congratulate me after I score, and telling them to shut up and play some defense.
