I heard they cut it to nine candidates.

Any names?

Oh yeah, but I won't say.

What fun is that?

Just love it when posters say they know something, but won't post the information ...

Don't know if it's true or not, but I've heard Daniel has had input on the next coach.

Any news on this? I saw on another website that a coach had been named, but since the source is unknown to me I will not post a name yet.

Shawn Thacker has taken the Rowan County job.

Good luck to Coach Thacker at Rowan....

Somerset has had a pretty decent team during his tenure then, haven't they? Seems like they are always at the ALL A Classic.

They have won the 12th Region All A Tourney each of the last 8 seasons and been Runner-Up in the All A State 3 times during his tenure. Here's his overall record at Somerset:

1999-2000 14-17

2000-2001 21-9

2001-2002 23-8

2002-2003 13-16

2003-2004 14-13

2004-2005 22-7

2005-2006 20-7

2006-2007 14-15

2007-2008 20-12

Overall 161-104 .610 Winning Percentage

He hasn't won an overall 12th Region Championship or made a finals appearance but he has a good overall record at one of the smallest schools in the 12th Region.

Rowan County is getting one fine coach in Coach Thacker! He is a class act.
