Career rating

Brady 92.9 (117.2 helped that a LOT)

Palmer 90.2

Are more Field Goals going to do it?

If Carson kicks them, yes!!!!!

Wish all you want for that one, he will never bail.

He will reach historical greatness, no matter what the team does around him, as long as he remains healthy.

Again Brady lost last year because the TEAM failed, but no one thinks any less of him. P. Manning's numbers decreased and his team finally won the Super Bowl; Carson would gladly take lesser numbers for more wins; he has set numerous records the last 2 years, but they didn't get the job done.

Fewer TDs and yards will equal more victories for the Bengals.

I disagree. I think after the display they put on this year, Palmer will be out of Cincinnati within the next 3-4 years. One can only accept losing for so long, before they need a change.

If Chad wants to go they should lets him go. So the team can put its focus on football.

Much better?????

That stats don't bear that out.

If you claim Super Bowl wins, the Pats defense you mention, had a lot to do with that.

Palmer was making rookie mistakes last season on the field. I'm not saying he's no good anymore, but he's not Tom Brady. He has gone downhill with the rest of the organization.

What rookie mistakes are you talking about, like when Chad would read the defense wrong and run a wrong route.

Yeah, because we all know it's always the receiver's fault...Palmer was off last year, there's no denying that.

^I agree...no way I'd pass on two first rounders for CJ, but that's just me.

The cap hit lowers after June 1st. Maybe the Bengals are just going to keep taking the stance that they won't trade Chad no matter what...for now. But, in reality, they may be considering trading him after June 1st and by taking this stance now, it could drive up the price teams are willing to pay for him. Seriously, there is no way I'd pass on two first rounders...with all the picks they have in this draft, combine that with 4 first rounders over the next two seasons and they could completely change their roster and rebuild everything in a short time. I would do it...

Only the '08 first round is guaranteed. The '09 pick is a guaranteed 3rd round that could escalate to 1st round depending on Johnson and the Redskins performance.

I'd still take it. CJ is a great receiver, so there is a pretty good chance he'll produce for the Skins...

But, I would keep the stance that Chad is staying until after June 1st and try to drive the offer up to a guaranteed first rounder in '09...I still think you take a future 1st and 3rd rounder for a disgruntled, 30-year old WR.
