April 16, 200818 yr Already at the city limit on head cases... "Head case" or not, the man can pitch ... something tells me the Reds could use that.

April 16, 200818 yr Interesting that the guy Dusty always played Neifi Perez over (Fontenot) made the game-winning defensive play to beat Dusty's new team. And of course, Patterson is still hitting leadoff  What's the word on roster moves with Bray and Belisle?
April 16, 200818 yr In case you haven't noticed, the pitching hasn't been a problem so far...You can never have enough quality pitching. Zambrano has averaged 15-9 with a 3.30 ERA and 215 innings per season for the last five years. I think they would take that.
April 16, 200818 yr How have the Reds fared against Zambrano? I thought I remembered them beating him a few times last year...
April 16, 200818 yr In case you haven't noticed, the pitching hasn't been a problem so far... They could use his hitting more than his pitching right now.

Would give them to many B's with Baker, Bako and Burton already on the team, and Bailey and Bruce as future possibilities.
April 16, 200818 yr How have the Reds fared against Zambrano? I thought I remembered them beating him a few times last year... Zambrano went 2-4 with a 5.30 ERA in six starts versus the Reds last season, and is just 3-7 with a 4.12 ERA in 12 career starts against them at Chicago. Fogg gave up three runs - one earned - and four hits in five innings of a 12-4 victory over Milwaukee last Wednesday after allowing six runs, five hits and three walks in an 8-4 loss to Philadelphia on April 4, his season debut. The right-hander is 3-0 with a 3.32 ERA in his last three starts against the Cubs, and is 3-5 with a 4.53 ERA in 10 career outings at Wrigley Field. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/preview;_ylt=AvF26CI.Dz_cnURoBewGsO_bzYd4?gid=280416116 Based on those numbers, probably a very good thing the Cubs got that win last night.

All the more reason for the Reds to land Zambrano ... he's been much better against the rest of the league.

April 16, 200818 yr ^Gracias^ Maybe the boys can get it going. With Fogg pitching I think the Cubs may get it going.
April 16, 200818 yr Author With Fogg pitching I think the Cubs may get it going. The Dragon Slayer: Reds starter Josh Fogg earned his nickname last year as the No. 5 starter for the Rockies because of his success against other team's aces. After beating the Diamondbacks' Brandon Webb, the Yankees' Mike Mussina and the Red Sox's Curt Schilling, Rockies teammate Matt Holliday gave Fogg the nickname. He's facing the Cubs' No. 1 starter, Carlos Zambrano, tonight and will be able to show if he brought his sword and shield to Cincinnati. http://www.thelotd.com/ctrent/blog
