April 20, 200818 yr Homer update. Here's Homers line from last night. Homer went 7 1/3 innings, allowing no runs, five hits, a walk and three strikeouts. Homer is now 3-1 with a 1.03 ERA. In 4 games he has pitched 26 1/3 innings giving up 19 hits, 1 HR, 4 BB's 16 K's. Hitters are hitting only .204 against him.
April 20, 200818 yr Author Do you have his pitch count for the day and did Ross catch him? Just curious.... I heard them say on the radio Ross hit a HR today in the earlier innings...
April 20, 200818 yr Do you have his pitch count for the day and did Ross catch him? Just curious.... His pitch count was 101, 64 for strikes, and yes Ross caught him. Bailey has been much more efficient with his pitches so far this year.
April 20, 200818 yr Gary Miller Yep. He once wet his whistle on a cop in Cleveland, or something like that.

I don't see any reason for Homer to stay down there and dominate them with his fastball all day. We already what he can do at that level.
April 20, 200818 yr Jay Bruce had two more hits today to raise his average to .333. I think it's time to get him up to Cincinnati, and see what he can do. I've had enough of Patterson. The Diamondbacks aren't afraid to play their youngsters, and we see how they are responding.

He has a really good agent.
April 20, 200818 yr Daryl Thompson, 22, the forgotten man in the Kearns/Lopez trade, went 6 innings today giving up 6 hits, one run, while striking out 5, and walking none. His stats for the year before today were: 2-0, 17 2/3 innings, 10 hits, 1 ER, 20 K's, 1 BB. Batters are hitting .164 against him. A couple of years down the road I see a rotation of Harang Cueto Volquez Bailey Thomson
