April 11, 200818 yr I would love to see us get either Dorsey or Ellis in the draft...but That is a distinct non-possibility...so who do you like? A player? A trade? 1.Dorsey, LSU 2. Ellis, USC 3. Rivers, USC-I love this kid! 4. Kelly, Oklahoma Food for thought- I love Chad, but heres a possible trade scenario I made up: trade him to Dallas for either Glenn (he's old and injury prone, but still productive) or a guy like Crayton and pick up a 1st rd. pick as well. Everyone wants to say "Moss was only worth a 4th rd. pick..". Well Randy was awful for 2 years before that trade. I will site the Bucs trade for Keyshawn in which they gave up two 1st rd. picks as my evidence to make this deal happen. We then use that 1st rd. pick on a guy like Manningham or the kid from Cal or maybe the kid from Mich. St. Any thoughts??

Hate the idea of spending the 9th pick on the Kelly kid. But it wouldn't surprise me. (Kenny Irons) If they traded anyone on the team for Glenn or Crayton, I will puke.
April 11, 200818 yr The best case is for someone to jump up ahead of them for Matt Ryan or McFadden, thus causing Dorsey, Ellis, or Gholsten to drop and still be on the board...

He just admitted to smoking marijuana, I think it would be a good idea for the Bengals to remove him from their board. Here's a question: Not likely at all...Bengals need DDD, and more D. But say what if Darren McFadden is on the board win the Bengals pick? Again, he probably won't be, just curious to know how many would want him.
April 11, 200818 yr 1st pick Ellis or Gohlston. I don't think Gohlston will be there but I do think Ellis might be. Trade Chad for Haynesworth 1st then you can go other ways with the 1st pick. Trade Chad+Rudi for Roy Williams and the Lions 1st pick. Get Stewart or Mendanhall with the Lions 1st pick. I think there is a good chance the Cowboys will pay some of Chad's money + a 1st + maybe 3rd or 4th. Those are things I'd like to see and I think is possible. I'd like to see them get somebody like Early Deucet in the 2nd or 3rd round. It's hard to tell becasue I think they have the ability to trade and make a splash. I hope they trade early and not late so they know what they need with the #9 pick. To me they have the opportunity right now with Henry gone + Chad causing trouble to go clean slate but still be solid.

At least he didn't get caught by the fuzz....that's our biggest problem! True, but he admitted it and that means he is ready to be a man imo, otherwise he'd try to hide it still...and anyhow, that could've been his freshman year...so give him a break!

I still think if you trade Chad to the Cowboys and they do pay some of the $$$ its still a 8 million dollar hit to the Bengals salary cap.
April 12, 200818 yr I still think if you trade Chad to the Cowboys and they do pay some of the $$$ its still a 8 million dollar hit to the Bengals salary cap. Can you imagine TO and Ocho fighting over camera time..
April 13, 200818 yr I can imagine TO and Ocho-Cinco destroying opposing secondaries and shredding defenses!!! It would be an athletic treat to see the two of them line up together!
April 14, 200818 yr I think Dorsey is going to the Falcons... I think that Ellis falls to us unless someone jumps up there to take him. I like Sweed from Texas but he will be gone by our second round pick and I don't know if a team with so much defensive needs can trade up and take a receiver...
April 16, 200818 yr Author No way the titans part with Haynesworth for Chad because top flight DTs are harder to find than top flight WRs. I still want us to make a move for Robertson from the Jets because I believe he is still available? That puts less pressure to HAVE to take a DT 1st and would allow us to maneuver down and draft a good WR later in 1st rd and stockpile picks. Also wouldn't mind a LB in 1st rd., although our linebackers are shaping up better for next year than last, obviously. Odom, Ellis, Robertson/Peko, and Geathers across the front is decent. Brooks, Thurman (if he's in shape enough), and Jones (?) at LB are decent. AND our DBs were looking better each game last year. Here's to eternal optimism in the Queen City!!
April 17, 200818 yr I would take a Trojan: Ellis or Rivers (if Ellis is not available). (Really I want them to trade up to ensure getting Dorsey or Ellis).
April 17, 200818 yr I wouldn't count on getting much for Johnson. His public display of disdain for the Bengals have left them with ZERO leverage. They won't even do as well as the Raiders did with Moss.
