I thought Dorsey should have gotten two "T's". After his breakaway slam he turned and intentionally lowered his shoulder into the Kansas player and screamed at him. Then after the alley oop from Rose he grabs the ball, holds it and points his finger in the sky. I thought both incidences were too much celebration and taunting. In consistent officiating. UofL's Knowles got one for taunting a player.

If I remember correctly, the ball actually bounced off his foot and went out of bounds. Had it not hit his foot, he would have caught the ball anyway.

You're thinking about the Kansas player that caught the ball. He punched the ball into the ground after he caught it and it would have done the same thing if it hadn't hit his foot and flew out of bounds.

He wasn't screaming at the player, he was screaming at his team to pick it up... He didn't even look at the guy he ran into... I think the other could have been called for delay of game...

I agree. He ran into him hard, but it definitely wasn't intentional.

To all of you guys saying yes, you'd say the same thing if it was your favorite player on your favorite team in the same situation, right?

No reason for that to be called a technical. A good no-call. He wasn't causing any trouble and it was directed at himself (not the other team or ref). No harm done.

You don't make that call at that point in the game. Instead of it being a topic on every talk show the day after the game, it has basically been forgotten about, and thats how it should be. Great great no call.

I think he slammed the ball out of disgust for hisself in which case I say no.

Exactly!! He was disgusted at himself for missing the FT's. It wasn't a taunting expression or anything against Kansas. The officials did a tremendous job in not calling that a technical.

I thought that the technical was a delay of game technical. I tried to find the rule on this in the NCAA book and struck out.

It has been forgotten about because KU won the game. Had Memphis held on, you can bet that it would be a big deal.

I don't think this is a fair way to judge if the call should have been made or not.

I don't care if he was upset with himself or not, it should have been called a technical. I couldn't believe Packer was trying to justify the move.
