If Eminence has such a young team, why are they playing a varsity schedule? AC leaving their pitcher in to complete the game was a terrible move. You cant tell me they dont have a young pitcher who doesnt see much of the mound who couldnt have come in and finished the game.

 

So the AC coach didn't do "everything" as it says in the article.

Would it have mattered? I dont think that anybody they put in would have given up any runs from the way it sounded. Was this their ace? I very seriously doubt that the coach threw his ace knowing Eminence was this bad. I dont think any blame falls on AC here.

This is absolutely ridiculous and should never have been posted. The KHSAA should put in a rule that no team should ever lose by more than 15 runs. It is a terrible situation that should and could have been avoided. Just stop the game after the 1st inning was completely over and explain the situation to the coaches. The poor kids on the Eminence team will not learn anything from this game other than adults allowed this to happen.:irked::irked::irked::irked::irked::irked:

If these gusy really in the same district, that means if they seed, they will probabaly play in the first round again.

If you have guy scoring 8 runs and others getting six hits it sounds like there wasn't much substituting going on by AC's coach. A lot of kids work on switch hitting so that really isn't limiting them, especially if the pitcher is throwing basically BP type pitches. How do you leave any starters in after the first inning and say you did everything you could do to hold down the score. Sounds like he realized he looks like a jerk, but they are still bragging about all the state records set. A starter bats and scores 8 times and you say you did all you could to hold down the score? Ridiculous!!
