I've been there maybe 8-9 times. It can be fun, it can also be stressful at times, kinda depends on who you go with. I've almost been in about 4 or 5 knock down drag out bar fights there. However only one incident which really got out of hand.

One thing is for sure there are plenty of egoes, and people that can't handle their liquor up there.

That is all I ever hear about there. Fights every single night. We went there and some Hill Billys mean mugged us the whole time like they owned the bar. That place is a joke.

I have been a few times over the years I don't beleave the storys. But if you like country you should go some time, my self I don't care to much for it.

I went years ago when I was in college. It was adventure, and it was fun, but once was enough.:thumb:

Ive been there once and its not my type of place. And no I dont believe the ghost stories.

I have never been there, but I used to take trains by there all the time. I have heard a lot of the ghost stories and would love to experience that for myself.

As for it being a rough place, some of you should have went to "Marlow's Country Palace" in Floyd County when it was open. They would stop you on the way in and asked if you had any weapons. If you didn't, they would loan you some!

I'm calling shinnanigans!

Sorry, there is a bar there with that name. Another sweet little place for the whole family.

I am watching a show on the discovery channel about the night club. I was wondering if anyone has been there, and or believes in the story behind it.

Read Hell's Gate, and then go there.

Was it fun?

Remember 98's a snob. It isn't bad. Just wear a big belt buckle.

That's great!
