Owensboro 63 Central 48

Featured Replies

Owensboro advances to the second round of the Sweet 16.

Two straight games where the winner has bolted out to a BIG halftime lead and survives just a little bit of a scare.

Central never got it under double figures. Don't think O'boro and Moorman were too worried.

I had Central winning this one so congrats to Owensboro. Good luck in the second round against Lexcath.

I wasn't:

*Teams that I have seen play more than once!

1.*Mason Co

2.*LexCath

3. Jtown

4.*UHA

5. *Holmes

6.*Hazard

7. Paducah Tilghman

8.*Elliott Co

9.*Paintsville

10.*Bardstown

11.Owensboro

12.Greenwood

13.* Lincoln County

14.*Central

15. Shelby Co

16.SL

Saw them play in the 5th/3rd Classic and they didn't impress me at all, and in fact, I was surprised when I read they won their Region. Basketball in Louisville must really be down this season...

It was really a shame that UHA and LexCath had at meet in the first round as both teams are two of the best in the Sweet Sixteen this season.

Brock Moorman played a good game. He was the best player on the floor. I will be interested to see how he plays against a better Catholic team.

The 6th region reps half of the Louisville teams. The 6th region was probably about the 5th or 6th best region in the state. Central was not one of the top 3 teams in the 6th region, but upsets do occur and Central did benefit from those upsets and greater parity.

The 7th region had 5 top 20 teams. Don't think you can honestly sandwich the 7th region in with the 6th to call Louisville down this year.

Central didn't get it done today. Not impressive at all.

Whoever 33 is for Owensboro was, he was very impressive...

33 is one of those Moorman kids. I think they had 2.

This game was kind of a yawner. Owensboro seemed fairly well coached, but will be overmatched in round 2.

Brock Moorman. I heard he had 29 pts. and 16 rbs.
