March 18, 200818 yr Jay Bilas has been assigned to the broadcast crew that will carry Kentucky and Marquette from Anaheim this week. UK fans also get to further watch the decline of the great career that was once Dick Enberg. Somebody named Carter Blackburn will help Enberg to his seat and poke him when he dozes off in the second half. Louisville fans get Verne Lundquist (see Dick Enberg) and Bil Rafferty. Gus Johnson will be doing the Denver pod. Jim Nantz and Billy Packer will be in Raleigh (go figure) doing the Tar Heels, Hoosiers, and Hoyas. March 18, 200818 yr I see this as no big deal... If anything, I am sure Jay likes it because it is one of the few really good match-ups for round one...
March 18, 200818 yr Author I've never seen anyone get so much grief for speaking the truth before. I agree. If he graduated from Virginia or Oklahoma, it would be a non-issue
March 18, 200818 yr True karma would be a run to the Sweet Sixteen and him having to admit that he missed the boat on this one. :thumb:
March 18, 200818 yr I've never seen anyone get so much grief for speaking the truth before. If anyone says something that is not promoting UK as kings, then they will pay...
March 18, 200818 yr I want to see Arizona State lose in the first or second round of the NIT. All of the ESPN and CBS analysts seem to have a man-crush on them. I know that has nothing to do with this thread, but whatever To Jay's credit, he is BY FAR the most unbiased commentator/analyst of all ESPN workers.
March 18, 200818 yr If anyone says something that is not promoting UK as kings, then they will pay... Amen, that's the way it should be.
March 18, 200818 yr If anyone says something that is not promoting UK as kings, then they will pay... You say that like there's something wrong with it...
March 18, 200818 yr I love listening to Bilas. Him, Raftery, and McDonough together this week really was a treat IMO.
March 18, 200818 yr If anyone says something that is not promoting UK as kings, then they will pay... Yes!!! You have seen the light.:dancingpa :dancingpa
March 18, 200818 yr You say that like there's something wrong with it... It just makes a guy born and raised in Ky, not like UK...
March 18, 200818 yr I've never seen anyone get so much grief for speaking the truth before. I agree. Bilas has always been very vocal in support of UK when Kentucky has deserved it, and now he's getting hammered by UK fans for being honest. I'm sure Bilas will love this assignment.
