I too will be glad when they hire the new coach so a new thread can begin. I believe alot of fans and parents are glad that the drama of the past two years are over. I WILL NOT be attending any more girls games. I've heard and seen enough drama to last years from now. It still continues, as we see in these posting! This year, Walton will not have a year end banquet for the girls and their families and friends. It's only the bball girls. Now that tell you just how the season ended. :irked:

Good point. Walton-Verona fans get bashed for expressing their concerns on BGP this season. Granted, there were a couple of long threads, including this one. But how many times did they bash the previous coach on here?, or the one before him?, or the one before him? It is not like there has been a pattern over time or something. The fans are just ready for things to go in the right direction. What makes you think there is going to be a problem with the next coach?? If they hire who I have heard, I think most fans and parents will be very pleased and very supportive.

Catpride24..what wins would you have liked to add to your schedule this year. I looked at the scoreboard and it appears that you had a fairly good season. I am just trying to understand what the major dis-satisfaction was on the schedule.

Seriously no kidding. Is the Walton job really that great? Is this the Boone or Notre Dame job? There are people who are very qualified if not overly qualified interested in the job that I hope would never take it b/c of stuff like this.

Who is the favorite? That way other applicants can just step aside and save themselves time instead of applying for a job that is already filled?

Passion and interest are one thing but it is obvious to me that it goes far beyond that at Walton and that is something that as an outsider sure surprises me. Meddlesome and crossing the line seems to be a huge problem with this job.

I disagree!! As Cats Pride said there is no pattern of a problem here. There was a obvious problem with this coach and the fans spoke up. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It's shows that Walton fans care about what happens at their school. I would much rather have it that way than a bunch of fans with no interest. How is pointing out their is a problem crossing the line. If you have low expectations that's exactly what you get.

The description on here is not passionate fans but know-it-alls who want to meddle and cause problems for the coach.

Coaches in the past who were knowlegable about the game and put forth their best effort had no problems. If the job is not getting done and I'm not just talking about wins and losses there is no reason a parent/fan can't express their dissatisfaction. If it's in the classroom or the basketball court having high expectations is what great schools and athletic programs are made of.
