To be honest, I think this move helped UGA more, and actually hurt UK...UGA got a day to rest, and the fan advantage UK would've had is gone. There is something to be said about getting mentally ready to play a game, and then not playing. It's hard to turn that switch back on. While I think UK is likely still in the tourney, they may now be an 11 or 12 seed. This really was a bad bad loss.

I agree that this move may have helped Georgia, but the fact is that UK still should've won and they certainly should have won in OT with Georgia being without Gaines.

 

This is a loss to a team with a sub-100 RPI. I'd say it'll be as low as 130 max after the win. Bad, bad loss for the resume, bad last impression for the committee. I think they get in, but they can't blame anyone else if they don't.

The play that seemed like the best play of the game was actually the worst play of the game. Bradley should have held the ball and took the final shot. Worst case scenario would have been double OT. Instead, he scored the bucket immediately, which left too much time on the clock.

UK can't get in that situation, at this point of the season against a team as bad as Georgia.

Not to mention everything they've been through last night and today.

I refuse to believe that any of the people questioning that call would feel that way if the roles were reversed. I've seen enough times a foul like that that went against UK where the fans questioned "How do you make that call there?" I don't blame UK for the attempt, but I don't blame the ref for not making that call.

 

The defensive player should be the one who needs to watch out for the contact! It should be called!

I'm an adult. I don't whine. UK will get in. The committee will be pretty understanding of the circumstances leading up to this game.

But do you not acknowledge that it is a given in almost every game that referees are expected to call it that way? A foul is not a foul when there are 1.2 seconds left in the game. It's like the announcers talked about with advantage. No advantage was being gained by the foul.

 

If UK really wanted to be ballsy about it, Jasper should've turned around and attempted to throw it to Bradley's spot after that. Had UK been turning it over as a result of the foul, they might have been forced to call it.

I still think that UK will get in but I wanted to win the SEC so bad. Swansey ripped my heart out. UGA stole the game from us.

UGA had to go through everything UK did, and if I am not mistaken they have been without two very good players too.

If this is that team, you may as well just punch UK's ticket to the NIT. God help them if the committee feels the same way. I thought that's what these last couple of games were about, proving that they were not that team, even without Patterson.

Probably a blessing in disguise as now they might be a 10-12 seed.

 

I would rather have a 10 than an 8 or 9 which what was being estimated by a couple of different networks. Should it be a 12, there is always a 5-12 upset in the 1st round.......
