Interesting. Not knowing the Atlanta area too well. Would GT be another possibility? Possibly having two games going on at the same time at different venues? This would possibly accommodate the crowds a bit.

 

From what I heard there are three options that are relevant options, Georgia Dome, the arena the Hawks play in, and Georgia Tech's home court. There is a concert going on at the Hawks place so the only two options are the Georgia Dome and GT, if the Georgia Dome passes inspection then they will just finish the tournament at that venue as regularly intended, so in my opinion it's one, or the other.

The games will be played sometime somewhere.

That my friend, is what some people other than me, are paid to figure out. I trust they will do that.

I would hope the 2nd game would be later than 4 or 6 PM. 9-10 sounds better.

They were just talkin on College Gamenight and someone said do you expect UK/Georgia to play at 10:00 then 4:00...I dunno if that's the times being considered or maybe even a little earlier start but who knows.

Shouldn't the selection committe show a little flexibility in this situation? What's the difference if they put out the brackets at 6pm or at midnight Sunday night?

They could play at Phillips Arena in the AM before the concert and then play at either GT or the GaDome if it is ready.

GT is pretty much downtown, not sure if they would have had any damage on campus or not.

 

I believe Rupp might be available, if a change of venue is needed.

That is still an incredible disadvantage, especially considering it's midnight and I'd venture to guess UK and UGA are still not at their hotels. I was wondering if any of the teams' hotels were damaged? They mentioned the Omni, but I didn't know where the teams were.
