He's supposedly playing for a team in New Zealand this year.

That's the championship ring? I'd be heated about that one.

Prediction: A handful of UK fans with more money than good sense will bid each other up into the $10K neighborhood. Truthfully, I wouldn't be surprised if it went as high as $20K.

That is even more of a shame if all he got out of it was $2500. Is that much really worth it when you have been playing pro ball overseas?

Just hurts that it doesn't mean more than $2500. Makes me think twice about him as a true UK Wildcat. I put him up there with some of the best with his accomplishments and I always thought he was extremely underrated. I think its a shame selling something like that. I never thought it would of came from Turner either, just never thought it, just never thought it.

That's what I thought when I read it. Who knows how long ago he sold it to someone? This guy on ebay is apparently a sports souvenir guy according to his feedback. Maybe Wayne figures a guy only needs one NCAA championship ring and he's keeping the 1996. Or maybe he knows the 1998 one is undervalued because Tubby won it with Rick's players!:p:p:lol:

Turner's only ring from a game he PLAYED in is the '98 ring. I think that's the only game he did not get into in his whole career here('96 NCAA). Seems like he would sale the '96 ring if he needed money so bad.

 

Didn't someone's ring get stolen from the dorm while they were at UK? Can't remember who, but it seems like this happened after one of the titles....

I think Myron Anthony also sold his 98 Champioship ring.
