Not only is it fair, its a requirement. Teams from the same district must be in the opposite side of the bracket....

 

I know, it was more a comment on the fact that I felt Bryan Station earned the right to have what Knightsdad considered an easy road to the finals (albeit still not automatic with either potential semifinals opponent).

It is not over till its over, I hope Bryan Station can pull it out. Every game will be a battle.

On paper it looks to be a matchup between Bryan Station and Lexington Catholic in the finals. That would be my prediction as both teams are playing very well and have the horses to finish the deal.

 

I would never count out Scott County. Hicks is a never give up coach and has a great basketball mind. I've witnessed some of his teams pull out some unbelievable wins over the years when it looked like there wasn't any way. They are defending region and state champs until someone takes them down. Although they lost two impact players they have alot of experience remaining.

 

I also like Dunbar as they are as quick as any team in the region. They played Station tough earlier in the year and if they shoot their best they can beat anyone on a given night.

 

Madison Central is also dangerous, but without Keshawn Simpson it puts a huge burden on Aaron Morris. You never know what can happen come tourny time. Remember two years ago when they upset Scott Co. in the finals on a last second shot at the Frankfort Civic Center.

 

This should be a fun week, good luck to all 11th region teams.

The one thing I hate about the 11 region tourney is the 1 round games are not all in one spot. I like to watch the entire tourney not just the semi-finals. I know the home teams enjoy it but the basketball fan gets the shaft.

My guess is they don't play on the same night so they can go scout their next opponent.

Im taking LexCath to represent the 11th. Too much height, talent and experience for Brian Station when it comes down to it. Shame that 4 or 5 teams from this loaded region cant make it to Rupp.

If Lex Cath brings their game (which i believe they will) they should be playing Station for the 11th region championship and prevail to Rupp. If Scott Co hadnt been put into the 11th the sweet 16 could be much more interesting. Although it makes the 11th region so very tough.
