Humans are hard-wired to fear snakes, researchers say

Hey man, I'm as scared of snakes as the next. My whole thing lies with the people pushing these big things back into the water. Let the thing set there and die, it's part of life. If a snake bites you, theres a real good chance your going to live. If a whale on the other hand manages to get ahold of you, not much chance in surviving that one.

Honestly, I wonder how many people a year are killed by whales ? You really never hear anything about it.

True, I think with whales you have to be in a particular place to see them, with snakes they are everywhere.

Talking about whales does remind me of the Bill Engvall joke on his first cd I think. Not a big fan, but his first couple cds were outstanding. You are right though, doubtful you will survive a whale bite. :lol:

:thumb: :eek:

So what's wrong with the people who love snakes like myself? Did we miss the memo? :lol:

Evidentally I did too!!!:scared:

Yea really. Growing up in the hills, I would hunt them out during the summer just to see how big of a one I could catch.... I don't really fear any type of wildlife that is smaller than me..

Well, at least in one respect, I'm normal! :D Who woulda thunk it? :D

There are only two kinds of snakes, Rattle snakes and Copperheads so if it don't have rattler's it has to be a copperhead. Kill them all.

Try being asleep on a couch in your basement and having one fall out of the ceiling onto your chest. Better than an alarm clock!!

Did that actually happen??:eek::scared: WOW!!!

I love snakes but if you put a spider in front of me and look up to see my reaction.... You will see me about half a mile away and still running...

I would have definitely had to change clothes after that and likely bought a new couch as well. Probably would have invented some new curse words as well, in a very high pitched voice.

I am petrified of snakes. In a past life as a sub teacher I was in a biology class one day. There was a terrarium with a small garter snake right next to the teachers desk. The darn thing got out. After about 15 minutes the snake was found but I wouldn't sit there the rest of the day.

I am so scared of snakes, this thread is freaking me out.

I am with you!

There are four kinds of snakes I do not like. Big ones, little one, alive ones, and dead ones.
