Mr. Basketball

^Hopson was maybe the 4th most impressive player in the Sweet 16 behind seniors Miller, Henderson, and Slone. Raw potential doesn't equal best high school senior...

Hopson has to sign with UK first then he will be Mr. Basketball. But for now it belongs to Miller Time!

How can a player be rated #9 in the country (rivals) but yet not win Mr.Basketball in his own state. Hopson should win.

He's number 8 on ESPN 150, does that help him? lol. But those ratings are also based on AAU summer ball. Mr. Basketball is about the high school season. Plus, you forgot that he made the McDonald's All American and Jordan Brand All American teams also, but those are based on summer ball too.

Miller deserves the award, but so did Walls, encourage your local sports reporter to vote!

You think Walls was a better player than Pettigrew and Knowles?

If I'm not mistaken, this is a coaches' vote. Reporters vote on AP Player of the Year.

Miller hands down, State champs, Tourney MVP, and UK signee. His name is probably already engraved on the trophy.

Miller had the award before the state tournament ... nothing has changed.

To me, it should be between Miller and Mack.

Miller hands down. It usually takes a special player to win state for his team and he has done it. I favored Hopson prior to the Sweet 16 but Miller came through like he should to be Mr. Basketball. Hopson is a distant second. Slone and Mack are off the radar, A case could be made for Henderson but it would be weak. What do the National media know about how Ky players match up against each other when playing in Ky? Nothing.

Miller! hands down after leading the Royals to the 'ship.

My vote goes to the best defender and team leader in the state of KY........Arrez Henderson.

He may get some votes but he won't win it.

I was under the impression it was coaches and reporters, but I may be wrong.

On a better team that played against better compeition, I think if Walls wasn't at Scott County he would have been Mr. Basketball, I am a firm believer that a great player (mr. basketball caliaber) leads a good team, and good teams play, and win, at the Sweet 16 :jump:
