An earlier post made it sound as if they fired their coach to get someone to run the Franklin system. I can't imagine ER firing a coach to run a specific system (this isnt'the NFL) and I can't see how they see a specific system as being the problem.

Its not about speed. Its about execution.

 

If it was about speed a know a ton of teams that would be in trouble.

The Franklin system will work with average speed. It is about the discipline and precision of running routes correctly each and every time. Repetition in practice and buying in are the keys. It will and does work without overwhelming speed.:walk:

Whom ever they get I hope he stays. Those young men in the system don't have a chance to be very good with the way things are being ran there and that is a shame for them and those who support the school.

No matter with the Franklin system or whatever you still need to have a QB who throws the ball well. If you don't then it would not be very viable as an offense. Also, usually 1 pretty dang good reciever helps.

Coach B, I'm sorry that things didn't work out there. I have a feeling that you will be back on the football field very soon. I wish you the best of luck in your future coaching endeavors.

It is from a pretty good source that someone from East Ridge has contacted the Offensive Cordinator at Franklin County High School. That would be Joey Thacker. East Ridge wants someone who can run the Franklin System. Plus he is from eastern Kentucky and understands what it will take for them to be successful.

 

This would be a good hire. Thacker ran an offense that has put up great numbers.

 

The administrators there would not know Tony Franklin from Ben Franklin. .

Look around the state at teams that run this system. Everyone gets faster in space and with good coaching. The Power I and the wishbone don't win either with a bunch of slow kids running around.

It's all about getting the kids to buy into the system and then executing!!!
