3 dead (2 students + shooter)

This is horrible, everyone on a college campus is an adult, yet it's a gun free zone.:irked:

Anybody wanting to talk about gun rights, gun control or what-ifs needs to take it to another thread. Its not going in this one.

Have school shootings always been this common? Or am I just very naieve

There have been four with a week. This one, Lousiana Technical College, Memphis, Tennessee, and Oxnard, California.

Fox is reporting 17 wounded, 3 of those critical.

Terrible terrible news. I never really consider this as something that could happen to me whenever I walk into class during the week. Can't imagine the pain the parents of the lost students are in right now.

Yeah, after walking around a college campus all day this hits a little close to home. I can't imagine what it would be like for those involved.

Part of me wants to look into what happened, namely why, but the other part of me doesn't want to buy into the media aspect of it, if that makes sense.

I understand what you mean.
