All being seniors, Highlands will need some help in 2009!!!! There is a freshman to be coming in and not sure his name. Someone said his parents built a house in Ft Thomas. Hopefully everything is TRUE to what I'm talking about!!!!

There were a couple boys on the Freshman team who showed some promise.

Boom goes the cannon. His name is True. He is the grandson of Charlie True on one side and Ike Lewis on the other. How is that for bloodlines? Watch the Spartans senior victory the next time it is on for a preview.

What school is he enrolled in as an 8th grader!!!

He better play defense!!!!! Why would probably the best defensive player in NKY not play on that side of the ball. And only a junior to be!!!!

That was my thought too. He was really the only 'shut down' corner I saw this past season, and the only one I saw play press coverage.

The True boys are already at Highlands and have been since the start of the school year. Hopefully he can live up to all of the hype.

He was a load carrying the ball last year. I watched a little of the senior games as they played after my nephew's games. If he continues to grow, watch out.

Conner(HHS) and Tiepel(Beechwood) should battle it out for the rushing leader.

I agree with this. From what I have heard Conner will be splitting a significant amount of time with other senior running backs (Head, etc.) Is this true? If so Teipel may take the cake for rushing yards...if his line shows up to play.

Who exactly are Ike Lewis and Charlie True?

Sounds as though Teipel will have a HUGE line to run behind. ("Man-eater" Mainello, Tennesee Ernie Ford, and Miller (?)...all 6'4" or better and 250 lb. +). Highlands line will be significantly smaller. Adam Dempsey @ 6'3 / 235 and Cody Rosenhagen 6'1 / 265 being the "big-uns". But for pulling, trapping and blocking at the second level, Dempsey and Rosie will be two of the best around! Look for JC to continue to put up big numbers...he's a threat to go the distance every time he touches it! :thumb:

I don't think thats going to happen You don't take one of the best rb's in nk if not the state & split his PT.

Only if you take into consideration that HHS will "hang a half a hundred by halftime" on some teams and JC will be spectating!!

Agreed, I'm sure there wiiil be times when that happens.

Happened this year. If there is more than option, Coach Mueller will use all his weapons. When's the last time a Birds RB had more than 25 carries in a game?

Highlands will need some help in 2009!!!!

I don't think this will a problem. Look for another position change for the double deuce.

Believe me, the 09 seniors have plenty of talent. There's two or 3 that will be able to carry the rock with success.
