Very Dangerous Weather out there tonight

Featured Replies

I'm in Lexington and they keep putting boxes of tornado warnings all around us, seems like just a matter of time before we get one too.

Thanks for the update Farva. I just spoke with the girls and they said they had the tv on watching all the warnings.

The path on Channel 9 says 80 to 100 MPH will be going through my neighborhood in about 20 minutes.

Be safe, LBBC. May God's arms keep you and your family safe.

Hitting us now. :scared:

Storm siren just went off here in Lexington a few minutes ago. I can hear the wind and rain picking up a bit.

My son just called from Centre College and said they had the dorm move to the basement. Any word on what is going on in Central KY.

and also moved Transy's kids to the basements of the dorms...

Just sounded them again. I'm in the bottom level of a split level and my window is next to the ground. I think I'll be fine. Hopefully our sweet deck doesnt get affected.

Odds are UK is letting the kids stay where they are. They dont really care...

I've been told the towers here at UK have been moved to the dorms. It's pretty crazy out there.

Southern Pendleton, Harrison and Robertson, just south of us had the strongest winds so far up here. 80 to 100 MPH.

I am just north of Falmouth, so we only got 70 MPH.

My front porch furniture, the big heavy Amish built out of treated wood, went flying across the front porch. Neighbors are without electricity but that was the last house. We went out for about 2 minutes and then came back on.

Hopefully, everything south of me is good. Dark right now without lights.

Another update from here in Lexington, everything/everybody here in the townhouse off Tates Creek between Man O War and New Circle are fine. We all went down to the lowest floor in the hallway and watched the radar and weather broadcasts. We had some pretty intense wind and what sounded like some hail outside, but now it appears we're pretty much through the bad stuff.

Reports of up to 77 mph wind went through Lexington.
