Best and Worst Super Bowls

Featured Replies

What are everyones opinions on the best and worst Super Bowls ever played. Then, who do you think was the best "Super Bowl Player" and the best "Super Bowl Coach".

Yep, I am bored and thought that I would start yet another Super Bowl Discussion......

Best Super Bowls: 1979, VIII, Pitt-36, Dallas 31 ( the football talnet, legends on that field were amazing).......1982, XVI, S.F. 26 Cincy 21.........1989 XXIII, S.F. 20 Cincy 16 (both S.F./Cincy games were great ones only the wrong team won)..........2002 XXXVI, N.E. 20 StL. 17 (came down to the last play and about 1 yard.)

Worst Super Bowl: 1986, XX, Chi. 46, N.E. 10 ( I was all or the Bears but was really dissapointed in that Ditka didn't give Walter the ball for a t.d. in this one. Other than that this game was men vs. boys, over before it started.)

(Best Super Bowl Coach/Coaches): Vince Lombardi (G.B., the trophy is name dafter him...nuff said ;)), Chuck Knoll (Pitt), Bill Walsh (S.F.)

(Best Super Bowl Player/Players): Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Terry Bradshaw, Lynn Swann, Franco harris, Roger Staubach, Brett Favre, Reggie White, .....there have been quite a few great ones, imo Joe Montana, Terry Bradshaw would be tough to top though.

Well Oldrambler, I think you pretty much covered everything and I'm not sure there's anything to debate. I'm might add John Riggins, Doug Williams, or Tim Smith for SB individual performances.

Maybe I am wrong but wasn't it the Stl. vs Ten game the year before that came down to a yard?

Trivia time: What WR did the Titans pass on to draft Dyson?

That would be Mr. Moss.

I agree with oldrambler that both SF/Cincy Superbowls are two of the best ever. I'll have to give it some thought about the worst.

Yeah I think he meant that game as well...However the NE vs. STL game was a very good one as well as the NE vs. CAR

You are correct, I apologize for the brain fart. :thumb::lol:

1998 and 1999

Best moment of the two: When Elway leadped for a 1st down near the goaline and got twisted.

Elway and Bettis winning Superbowl's in their last seasons was great but the Rams/Titans Superbowl was AMAZING.

Bills vs. Giants 1992 I think. Scott Norwood, wide right.

Yes that was one of the best moments I loved that play.

1969...Mr. Joe Willie Namath. The game that changed the NFL.
