Featured Replies

Try explaining that to Tennessee.

So now we are saying Tubby was able to leave players behind that are good enough to compete with the best teams in the country.Things are always changing here on BGP...:D

They can compete with any team in the country, but they can't win 30+ games and a national championship. Big difference there.

How many teams do you think can win 30 games this year??

So someone clear this up for me because I need to know...

Did Tubby leave a really good UK team or did he leave a team on par with Minnesota as far as talent goes?

Memphis, North Carolina, Duke, Kansas, and UCLA will all be in the running.

Neither.

Neither.

So what DID he do?

So what DID he do?

He left players that are talented for many schools but not the elite players that should be at UK, UNC, Duke, UCLA, Kansas, etc.

Well, Tubbycat says they're pretty evenly matched so I was just wondering.

I be honest I saw that to. However by looking at his post after that, I think he worded it wrong without realizing it still. Because there is no way for anyone to really think Minnesota has as much talent as UK, when UK is healthy...

I didn't say I was bored, I said your presence was missed... There's nothing to read between those lines.

My opinion on this UK team is that it has as much talent as the past 2 teams have, but due to injuries and a new coach they have underachieved. No way is the talent on this team on par with the likes of Memphis, Duke, UNC, UCLA, Kansas, etc....but they have 6 guys that IMO can compete with any of those teams on any given night...They have abosolutely no depth though, which is what would kill them.

I think Minnesota's three game losing streak will come to a end this Thrusday night at Michigan. IMO, GO TUBBY;)

The top 6 players on UK's roster according to posters on here are: Bradley, Crawford, Meeks, Jasper, Patterson, and Stevenson--and I agree. I do not think that Minnesota's top 6 are as good as UK's top 6. The rest of the roster I would say would be up for grabs.

As far as playing a game, I think the game would be extremely close because both teams are similar. There is no DOUBT that UK is better when a healthy Jasper and Meeks are playing. Those two guys were top-35 recruits and they can ball.

Just because we beat Tennessee and they were 5th in the country at the time does not mean we can match up w/any team in the nation top-6 against top-6.
