January 28, 200818 yr I love that a Louisville fan brought UK into a Minnesota thread. Nice. Getting you guys riled up is much easier than it used to be....
January 28, 200818 yr :rolleyes:Yea your right, I thought you knew a lot more about basketball then you did... Awesome post...
January 28, 200818 yr If you think losing to #266 and #151 AT HOME won't take some off those wins, you're kidding yourself... You're talking about 2 different UK teams. UK right now would be UK 6 weeks ago by 20 points. Everyone else can see this. Why can't you?
January 28, 200818 yr I would say the line on a UK Minnesota game being played in Butte, Montana, would be about a 1-1.5 point spread. If Minnesota was the dog, I'd take them all day. Tubby is a better coach IMO, and I believe that the teams are pretty even.

January 28, 200818 yr The teams are not that far a part talent wise, I can assure any of you of that! Tubby has done an outstanding job this season (w/the same Gopher players from a year a go) with what he has at Minnesota. Other than the OSU game they have had an opportunity to win all of their Big-10 games, just fell short.
January 28, 200818 yr Tubby has done an outstanding job this season (w/the same Gopher players from a year a go) Hoffarber and Nolan are Freshman and averaging together 40 minutes a game and 18 points per game. Throw Damian Johnson (so.) in there who hardly played last year and you can throw in another 20 minutes and 8 PPG. So, to recap, that's 60 minutes and 26 points per game. Same players? Come on...
January 28, 200818 yr The funny thing is, all you guys that are saying UK is better than Minnesota have yet to provide one legit reason or statistic as to how they're better. All you've given are opinions.....
January 28, 200818 yr So why Damien Johnson didn't play more last season is who's fault? He was on the roster last season and didn't play much. So my point pretty much still stands, I said with same players as last season. Because correct me if I am wrong here, Damien Johnson could have played last season because he was on the roster? All, but 2 players are the same and Tubby has done more with them the Dan Monson ever could have. Not for sure how much that really says w/Monson in the discussion, but it is the truth! Of course, I didn't include the 2 freshman in that! Either one of those freshman, Nolen or Hoffarber, were heavily recruited outside of the Midwest. Both have been great surprises and the Minnesota people will tell you that themselves.

January 28, 200818 yr I would say it is interesting when looking at the two rosters player for player!
January 28, 200818 yr Sure it's interesting... That's why I said it. My point was missed, I'll move on.
January 28, 200818 yr The teams are not that far a part talent wise, I can assure any of you of that! Tubby has done an outstanding job this season (w/the same Gopher players from a year a go) with what he has at Minnesota. So Tubby left UK with a roster equal to a 9 win Big10 team?

All you've given are opinions..... UK has beaten two ranked teams (including the #1 team in the RPI, which you are having so much fun citing). When was the last time Minnesota (or Tubby) did that? That legit enough? The GW and USD games are almost irrelevant at this point and you know that. Meeks and Jasper are back, the team has started to learn BCG's system, and they're playing infinitely better than the start of the season.
