Have you ever noticed a thread title on BGP and thought that it will be a short-lived thread because, really, how much can you talk about? Then you're shocked every time you keep seeing it at the top of the forum yet you still can't imagine why you would look into the thread? Yet it still pops up again?

This one ONE of those.

When you have such an event, everyone gets to strut their stuff. The great year that everyone had. And you really see that the coaching staff is remarkably brilliant. When I attended, it was an honor and a pleasure to wittness something that so many people has dedicated their lives toward and how much it means to the players, coaches, parents and fans!!! Thanks!!! I can't wait till nex't years.

NOte that I'm not complaining. I'm just shocked that a banquet thread would get this many posts.

This has become the "African WaterHole Cam" thread of the football forum.

But it still hasn't lasted longer than the banquet.

5) People that say HHS wins state titles because of their out of district kids don't have a clue.

...

At least this year. Some may disagree with the 2004 title.

At least this year. Some may disagree with the 2004 title.

Only the deluded ones.

WOW does everyone get something? Way to many awards

All of the seniors received an award :ylsuper:

Varsity Underclassmen

Juniors - 1 mvp and 1 Mr.Highlands

Sophmores - 2 Mr. Highlands

JV Team - 7 awards

Junior Class

Sophmore Class

Freshman Class awards - 2 Mr. Highlands

It is unfortunate that all the boys can't get an award - they certainly deserve one.

But, hard work did pay off this year for the best award

KY 5A STATE CHAMPIONS :dancingpa

Next year there won't be as many seniors - I think they are down to 15 or 16 players

All of the seniors received an award :ylsuper:

...and all the starters...except one.

Sounds like a red carpet affair, was that Rivers woman out there asking people questions? Did NBC pick it up? Just joking, congrat's to the Bluebirds. If my school had a season like that, I would want the red carpet.

ACTUALLY....NBC DID send a taped message so I guess you can say they DID cover it! And come to think of it, I believe the carpet at the Syndicate is red! It was one FAN-tastic ride this year! So much fun that I think we'll do it again next year!!

The banquet next year will be short in duration... we committed to Dale on Fountain Square Saturday to limiting the highlight tape to 90 minutes! Therefore the banquet should be close to 7.5 hours...

This year each touchdown and all offensive plays greater than 20 -25 yards made the highlights. Most offensive highlights had an endzone and a mid field angle. We plan to limit the endzone shots to outstanding O-line shots and defensive secondary plays. Perhaps not all of Connor's 50 touchdowns will make the '08 highlight tape! (Especially the TD's from the 2 and 3 yard line) Unfortunately, we will not have Milton's pregame warrior chants to be able to add to the highlight tape... unless one is willing!

We will add more still shots of the coaches, team, cheerleaders, big bird and fans in the stands... seems like that is one of the more favorable comments that we received. And of course, Jimmy Hendrix was a nice touch to the highlight tape this year...:ylsuper:

Darn shame. Chin up 63, you'll be playing on Saturdays.
