The banquet next year will be short in duration... we committed to Dale on Fountain Square Saturday to limiting the highlight tape to 90 minutes! Therefore the banquet should be close to 7.5 hours...

This year each touchdown and all offensive plays greater than 20 -25 yards made the highlights. Most offensive highlights had an endzone and a mid field angle. We plan to limit the endzone shots to outstanding O-line shots and defensive secondary plays. Perhaps not all of Connor's 50 touchdowns will make the '08 highlight tape! (Especially the TD's from the 2 and 3 yard line) Unfortunately, we will not have Milton's pregame warrior chants to be able to add to the highlight tape... unless one is willing!

We will add more still shots of the coaches, team, cheerleaders, big bird and fans in the stands... seems like that is one of the more favorable comments that we received. And of course, Jimmy Hendrix was a nice touch to the highlight tape this year...:ylsuper:

Sounds like we have a volunteer for doing the highlight tape next season? The 2008 highlights will include ALL team players.

All team players that have a highlight... to watch.

If the Birds have a 2008 season like their 2007 season, I'd say the players would deserve a 12-hour banquet and 6-hour highlight DVD.

All of the seniors received an award :ylsuper:

Varsity Underclassmen

Juniors - 1 mvp and 1 Mr.Highlands

Sophmores - 2 Mr. Highlands

JV Team - 7 awards

Junior Class

Sophmore Class

Freshman Class awards - 2 Mr. Highlands

It is unfortunate that all the boys can't get an award - they certainly deserve one.

But, hard work did pay off this year for the best award

KY 5A STATE CHAMPIONS :dancingpa

Next year there won't be as many seniors - I think they are down to 15 or 16 players

They all got an award in form of a state championship.

I agree.. The kids deserve it. Southwestern's banquet usually runs 4 or 5 hours and if they were to win a championship it would probably go for a couple of days.

Your banquet this year must have been 30 minutes or so which included the year in review highlight film.:madman::jump:

They're showing some kind of highlight reel on ICN 20 right now. Not sure if it's the DVD you all are selling or not. Hope it isn't...or there go any future sales!

Maybe all the copies they had are sold.

My favorite play so far is when #5 crushes the Lex Cath QB on the sideline...and in the process takes out one of our coaches.

It got as far as the Central game and then cut to a menu page that says:

Play Movie

Regular Season Games

I guess somebody at ICN forgot to switch to disc #2.

Yea, and that's the best part. Hang in, maybe they'll get back from dinner and change it.

Might have to call Fuzzy into action.

I received mine in the mail yesterday and have watched about 1/3 of it so far... it's great! I'd have to say that it's shaping up to be my favorite "movie" of all time!
