Nice job by Billy G. I think it is only fair to judge Billy G from this point on since his team is finally getting healthy. That said, even with the injuries losing to both GW and SD is not excusable.

January 23, 200818 yr I really don't remember jumping out of my chair in pure excitement than I did when Joe hit that three, the last time i remember doing it, without realizing it was when Patrick Sparks hit a big one a couple of years ago, last night I was on my feet and didn't even know it...I was going wild all night...Thank GOODNESS the Cats got this one, this shows me that the Cats can win the SEC tourny.
January 23, 200818 yr Most know I'm a huge UT fan. That being said, I must offer my heartiest congratulations to the Cats and their fans! BCG had a good plan, convinced his team of the plan and stuck to the plan. It worked - amazing what can happen when you play together as a team and buy into a system. I've watched most of the UK games this season in addition to all of the UT games I could find on TV. UK is coming around in my humble estimation. There is too much history and tradition in Lexington for conditions to stay as bad as they were at the first of the season. At least this was a basketball game and not a football game. A loss will not hurt nearly as bad in the overall scheme of things. I've thought all season that my Vols are more likely in the second tier of top 10 teams (if even at that level). Some of you have mentioned that they are overrated but like has been observed by other posters - you guys that think that are demeaning the accomplishment of the Cats last evening. I doubt the Vols will be a 1 seed in the tournament, but I firmly believe a 2 or 3 seed is well within their grasp unless they have a complete meltdown like the last Vol team to start this well (I don't see Bruce Pearl allowing that to happen unlike Jerry Green). Again, great win by the Cats! Congratulations!
