January 9, 200818 yr Import - hard to pick, lately I've been into Spaten Optimator and Smithwick's. Domestic - I like Coors Light if I'm going light, but there's something about an ice cold Budweiser that almost always hits the spot.

Problem is they don't ship it east of the Mississippi, and I have to wait until I can get someone to bring me some home from St Louis... :irked: I thought I was finally going to get a chance to sample this stuff when we were in Iowa over Christmas. We had lunch with the extended family before heading back to Ky, and the pub we were at had Fat Tire. Naturally, in a classic example of Jim Schue luck, they were out. :irked: Big fan of: Shiner Bock Red Stripe Sierra Nevada Yuengling Abita Shipyard Anchor Steam Newcastle Killians Bass the Hofbrau brands, especially Oktoberfest.
January 12, 200818 yr This past summer my roommate and I decided to start a beer bottle collection the way many college students collect liquor bottles. We had kind of a slow start being kind of nervous with trying new beers and also being limited by the amount of money we had to spend. But right now our collection has 74 bottles in it. We decided not to include any of the run of the mill domestics in our collection, so you won't see any Bud Lights, Coors, etc. We have 16 Sam Adams varieties in the collection, and some Goose Island. We have beers from several smaller micro-breweries in the US, and imports from Ireland, Jamacia, France, Holland, Belgium, England, Mexico, Canada, and the Czech Republic. Anyways trying all of these new brews has opened my eyes to the variety available. Here are my favorites out of the ones I have tried so far (no particular order): Kentucky Bourbon Barrell Ale Samuel Adams Summer Ale Dogfish Head Pumpkin Ale Bell's Batch 8,000 Ale Franziskaner Weissbier Here is a picture of my collection thus far! January 12, 200818 yr Dad was a Coors man when I was a kid. He claims that when he was stationed in Pensacola, and you couldn't get Coors east of the Mississipi, he and his wingman would hop in the F-8, do patrols, fly over to Kingsville, TX, buy coors, put it in the nosecone of the F-8, and fly back, and the Coors was ice cold when you landed. Don't know whether I believe him, but its a fine yarn. He must've been stationed with this fellow I know from Warsaw, because I've heard that story for years ... :lol:

January 12, 200818 yr Sam Adams Boston Lager is my all time favorite beer. I like several of the Sam Adams as well but Boston takes the cake.
January 12, 200818 yr I usually will buy either Guiness or Sam Adams Light. As far as Steel Reserve tasting good, I don't know about that one. I've had quite a few of those and I don't drink them because they taste good. I use them as a diet beer, you can drink two and it's like drinking a 12 pack.

Good choices, first time I had it was on tap out is SF. The last time I drank AS was 4th of July, it's like $9 for a 6pack.
January 12, 200818 yr I had a few Modelo Especial's, Tecate's and Sol's last night!!!!! I will probably have a few more tonight. :lol: I am in Mexico working right now. Trust me Corona's are not that popular here. Dos Equi's, Carta Blancha, Tecate, Indio etc... are much more popular. Indio is a good beer.
January 12, 200818 yr Guiness is the king Blue moon is great in the summer Creemore Springs Premium Lager if you are in the Tronto area Youngs double chocolate stout in the winter Sam Adams as a collection, very good across the board
