January 7, 200818 yr If Tubby was at the helm this year I say we have 2 maybe 3 losses and we might have even split with UNC and Indiana. :creepy: 3 losses? Seriously? IU and UNC are losses no matter what, and UofL is probably one as well. Beat GW, and you can add at least 1, probably 2 losses in NYC. Then you've got UAB who Tubby has lost to before (twice I believe) and Houston who Tubby only beat by 7 last year at home (with Morris btw, and PP was out this year). Tubby would have 5-7 losses at this point. He would have beaten GW and USD, but past that its hard to say he'd have done any better.

I dont think He was forced out... Heck with the Pressue Cooker is what I believe...From What I have heard He has never Looked or felt better... I feel like if he had been force out There would have been a NAACP march in Lexington...

January 7, 200818 yr You said you listen to the wlap sports talk shows right...?From what I have heard the Majority of callers and Media are saying the same things about Billy G on how he is using his talent... It seems like a lot of the people that call in and say stupid stuff are just upset about Tubby. This is what seems to be his plan for every place he coaches. The first season is a complete rebuilding year. The team has a BAD record. The next year they are markedly improved. Is that what BCG is doing here? Is sure hope so. We'll have to see. There have been many coaching decisions that I have questioned, including the continuous sagging off the primary ball handler (allowing him to see the floor) and the pressure on the wing players (allowing them to cut to the basket) against GW when they were backdooring us all night. What my thought is, is that he is simply trying to instill his defensive mindset in the players, no matter what the cost this year. They need to buy into the system, and we will get better.

Well the reason why it is a pressure cooker is because of your first two options So I would have to go with the first two options then and say Tubby was mostly pushed out by administration and the fans. I think a change really was needed though for him and this program though because of all the criticism going on. However I wouldn't think that both parties needed a fresh start, if some of our crazy fans were normal. Because there wouldn't have been all this fighting and people wanting him. But since it was like that, there needed to be a change and a fresh start for both parties. However Minnesota did get the better deal out of it, because they got the better coach...
