January 4, 200818 yr Since last season, when the grumblings about Johnson’s future first began, the Bengals have been adamant about refusing to trade the receiver who set the franchise record this season for receiving yardage. However, a showdown is looming in Cincinnati, where few of the Bengals are happy with the way this past season went and some, including Johnson, could opt to seek their exit. http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story;jsessionid=B5DFAFBBC07077FA20EF0DA27CEA47D9?id=09000d5d805b626d&template=with-video&confirm=true
January 4, 200818 yr It's very hard to trade in the NFL, but who knows. Randy Moss was worth a 4th rounder after a bad run in Oakland, how much is Chad worth? A 2nd rounder? No way anyone gives up a first for him.
January 4, 200818 yr Sounds like the little kid who wanted to take his football and go home cause everyone else didn't want to play his way.
January 4, 200818 yr I'm sure Detroit's interested... Nah, they will just draft one with their first pick.
January 4, 200818 yr If Favre plays another season could he persuade the Green Bay front office to go after him, the way he wanted them to go after Moss?
January 4, 200818 yr If Favre plays another season could he persuade the Green Bay front office to go after him, the way he wanted them to go after Moss? He did such a good job of persuading them last off season.
January 4, 200818 yr My guess would be that the way Greg Jennings played this year. Favre isn't as concerned now.
January 4, 200818 yr You would just hope that if and when the Bengals do make a trade they don't follow the Reds way of thinking. :sssh:
January 4, 200818 yr He did such a good job of persuading them last off season. I didn't say he would, or that he even could. I was asking the question of could he?
January 4, 200818 yr If you trade him, trade him for a 1st round pick, probably late or something. Then with your first 1st rounder take a defensive, then take a WR with the 2nd first rounder. Carson is much more effective with a 3 WR spread. Manningham from Michigan could be a possibility.
