I dont know why you didn't put Ludlow as one of the strong teams as well. Ludlow just last night beat St. Henry, and also beat that Brossart team by double digits, who beat NCC. Actually IMO NCC and Ludlow probably are the two favorites to win it. However both teams will have a very tough time even making it to the finals because of tough first round games against HC and St. Henry. Then the winners of those games have to play in the 2nd round. No disrespect to the other teams, but most likely the actual championship that will determine who will be going down to richmond will be taking place in the 2nd round of the tournament with the winners of those two games IMO.

 

Yeah, I was looking at the brackets today. The bottom bracket definitely has all of the stronger teams represented. I agree that the "championship" game will likely be taking place in the second round. That happened a few years ago when Dayton landed a trip to the finals and then got killed by Holy Cross. I see a similar situation ocurring this year.

Ludlow hands down. They are rolling teams by big numbers and have Coach Stamm. If what I hear and read is correct, he is the next best thing to sliced bread!

I agree with you NCC06. NewCath should win, however I would like to see them play with more heart than they did last night. Last night's game was ugly.

 

Someone told me Cundiff of NCC is out indefinitely with a high ankle sprain. That will make a big difference, as someone will have to step up big time for them to handle Holy Cross Monday.

I'm going to say Ludlow will represent the 9th Region this year based on their recent performances. NCC and Holy Cross both have very strong teams and are very capiable of beating the Panthers if they play poorly as they have at times this season, but it seems going in to this tounament that Coach Stamm has Ludlow clicking on all cylinders. Who made this bracket? Villa is in the semi's already. HC or Newcath would play 4 games to win it, while Villa would play 2 games! I can't believe the coaches would allow this bracket to happen.

Shame on you for noting including Ludlow! They are 12-3 and winning games by 20+ like no ones business. Their coach is listed on BGP as the next best thing and it isn't easy to coach a couple 6'2"ish girls when other teams are lucky to have one 5'11" girl! Go Mighty Lady Panthers!!!
