Wow. It's unusual to fire a coach who has won a championship, but I guess the name of the game in the NFL is, "What have you done for me lately?"

One of the best Defensive minds in the game. He's very well prepared, organized but he's always struggled calling plays on the offensive side of the ball.

Well, if they get a good coach in there now, I might have to relook at my Bengals 08 Schedule prediction of 7-9 as I was counting on two wins over the Ravens.

Bengals go after him?

I never count on anything, when it comes to the Gals.:creepy:

I'm going to assume, he and Lewis will certainly have some conversations at the very least.

Not sure and since he's been a Head Coach for a while, I'm speculating he wants to remain one and may be a move to another club or possibly, even a move to College.

Some just aren't meant to be Head coach.:sssh:

But he's got such a sparkling demeanor, he's surely going to the TV booth.

Billick is an offensive coach, as he never coached the defensive side of the ball on his way up the ranks...

No other sites or sources have reported this yet. Glazer is reliable. So.....

Was he an OC in the NFL and if so, who for?

No, he is supposed to be one of the best offensive minds in the game. He was the O coordinator for the Vikings in '98 when they put up all those points. Marvin Lewis and others are to credit for the great Raven defenses over the past decade or so.

He may call the plays but as an Offensive coach, he is horrible. I'm basing my opinion on his Defensive, off the HBO inside series which followed the Ravens one season.

He allowed his Defensive coordinator, to run the show but was involved. On the other side of the ball, he's been less than stellar with numerous players, talent and schemes.
