North Oldham isn't exactly a powerhouse, but for Elliott to go out in a venue like the 5/3 and do this pretty much validates their status as the 16th Region's best.

Elliott did the same thing they do every game, score points and win. I would hope their competition gets better. They could use a close game. I don't think they are going to get much in the region.

I wasn't able to make it tonight but I listened to it on the Internet. The commentators said that the officiating was terrible. It was also a 10-point game in the 3rd quarter and they went on a run, pushing it to a 33-point lead.

According to another post, Ferguson had 38 points for Elliott.

Ferguson played a very good game as did the Elliott team. The officating was the worst that I've ever seen(and I've watched a lot and I mean a lot of games in my life). This would have been a 40+ game with fair (or even decent) officials. It's sad that anyone officiates like the two younger officials did tonight. I wish they could be penalized if the uppers in the asssociation watched a recorded version of this game. I have nothing positive to say about those two, so I will not speak any further on them. Good luck to North Oldham going forward. And thank you to Elliott for another great effort. We appreciate you guys and all the hard work.

Hope to see Elliott Co match up with Mason Co. in the semis, but if Mays don't wake up and rest these guys when they're up 30 points they won't have the legs to play.

Mays knows exactly what he is doing, Faulkners and Ferguson are used to going about 5 hours a day, they expect a refund when they only get one game a day. They will be the freshest team in the tournament playing only one game a day. On another note, Ferguson has gotten stronger and his jump shot looks really good. He is shooting the ball as good as anyone in the state right now.

Elliott did not play their best game of the season but simply wore North Oldham down as has been the patter so far this year for Elliott. The hacking comments are starting to get really old. Elliott has very quick, active hands that create havoc for the other team's ballhandlers. North Oldham had exactly one foul called the whole first quarter and it was a charging foul. No complaints with the fouls called on Elliott. They were legitimate. The complaint is the lack of fouls being called on North Oldham, which also played a pretty physical game. I don't think I will complain about 16th region officiating nearly as much. Ferguson was completely unstoppable last night and the Faulkners did a good job all around as usual. Timmy Knipp looked afraid to do much after two quick fouls put him on the bench early and never really got untracked. The ball pressure for Elliott changed the game, but the interior defense needs to drastically improve tonight when they face a 6-10 post player. Still another great win for the 16th region, which has done pretty well in the holiday tournaments overall.
