I believe that this is good for Woodson because he will go to a better team and wont be thrown into games to early....

Brohm is probably the best NFL prospect with the kid from Delaware next. Flaco reminds me of " Big Ben".

I have never heard of Joe Flacco.

 

He's pretty good...

 

He helped Delaware to 11 wins and to their divisions championship game against App. State. 4,236 passing yards, 23 TD's and just 5 picks. He isn't bad...

I've seen Flaco and I would say he has talent, but I don't know that his arm or size is better than Woodson's. The level of talent he played against with success is not the same as the SEC. Also, Flaco didn't beat out Tyler Plako when he was at Pitt, which is why he ended up at Delaware. I think that may say something as well.

 

Again, I'm no NFL GM, I just think Woodson is a better prospect.

 

I'm with you that the SEC speed is much closer to the NFL. I'm also not knocking Woodson or what he can do just pointing out to those that don't know much about Falco that he is a nice QB prospect that didn't get the pub the other QB's got this year.

I took no offense, I am a UK fan but I recognoize the flaws in Woodson's game. I was just trying to compare the two. I think Woodson is the better prospect.

 

It is a crap shoot though. Even Peyton wasn't thought to be a sure thing (incidently, thank God some GM didn't take Leaf first; that guy would go down as the worst GM ever!).

You are exactly right. The wrong pick in the first round, on a QB, can really set back your franchise. Sadly, I do not really see any of these QBs being franchise changers.

 

I do like Flacco.

 

If I were ranking...

 

1) Flacco

2) Brohm

3) Ryan

4) Brennan

5) Woodson

I don't think Ryan or Brennan will ever be NFL QB's. I have only seen Flacco play once, so I can't say anything about him. Brohm has some potential. Woodson has a big arm, but he can't scramble at all and I'm not sold on his decision-making, just yet. He'll get a chance just because of his arm and his touch, but that doesn't mean he'll play in the NFL.

It's alright maybe this way Woodson will go to a team with a good QB that he can learn from and then in 3 years or so step up and be one of the better players at his position.

I'd love to see him go somewhere where he can sit and learn a year or two. I think Jarmarcus Russell is a prime example this year about how far he was behind the NFL game. He had freak skills+size but mentally he is way behind. I think Woodson is ahead in the learning curve as opposed to some QB's. Ryan is intriguing to me. Brennan will always have the label of the run+shoot system QB until he proves otherwise. Brohm has been a stud but the times he has had pressure he has looked average at best and there will be pressure in the NFL game.

I don't know...I think you can get a quality signal caller in this draft. It just depends on systems and development within the system. I like Brennan, Woodson and Ryan. I'm not sold on Flaco, but he could be big time with time.

 

I'm not even sure that we lok back on this draft and say Brohm was the best QB when it is all said and done.
