I was just on the CP, and was reading the most recent recruiting article on Shane Boyd's younger brother, Aaron Boyd. One of the things that I found in the article was the mention of new uniforms for the Cats next season. This is the first I've heard about this, but I think any kind of change like this is always fun. Here is what Boyd had to say:

 

"They showed me the new uniforms they're going to have for next season. They were really cool. They're somewhat like Oregon's in that they have lots of different combinations they can wear. They impressed me with those. I give them an 'A' on that."

 

So it appears UK will be sporting some new uniforms next year, anyone know anything else about this?

At least we get an "A" for something!

FWIW, Boyd also said some really good things about UK's offensive scheme, as well as Joker and Rich. He also liked all of the new additions to the training room, locker room, and weight room. Hopefully we'll be able to land him.

I don't know, I think it could look really cool. But I'll have to withhold final judgment until I see them. Plus UK could use something that would help them to stand out to potential recruits. The kids at Oregon love their uniforms, so hopefully it will work the same way here.

I like the idea of different combos. I don't like the current unis; I always thought they looked like a practice pinny pulled over a game jersey. I would be pro-change. Please post pics when you get them.

I don't. I wish they'd pick a uniform and stay with it. When people think of Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, Georgia, and LSU, what do they identify with? The same thing they have for the last 30 or so years. In football, the uniform is part of the tradition. It's hard to identify or build a tradition with a team that changes their look, every time the wind changes direction.

I always liked the regular blue/white jersey with KENTUCKY on the front. I also liked the block K on the helmet more than the interlocked UK, too.

 

Another peave is when the basketball teams have their school name across their backsides. I hate that.
