Whatever happens at Scott it would be a good idea to clean house of all personel. Nothing has worked so cleaning house could not hurt the program. A newness would create an excitment at Scott. Other schools have been able to build a program from the ground up. Looking at other sports at Scott you can tell they have the athletes in the school.

From my understanding all the coaches are leaving but the freshman coach is the only one that may stay. I also heard that two of the coaches have contacted Walton Verona about coming out there and that would be fun because Scott now will play Walton the first week in the Grant County Bowl after Anderson County dropped them to have thier own bowl if im not mistaken.

From the outside looking in...I think cleaning house may be a good idea. Have they gotten any applications from coaches out of state, maybe someone who wouldn't be intimidated by Cov Cath and Highlands because they don't know any better?

none of the Varsity coaches will be back (which is to bad). Doubt any of the Freshman coaches will return even though one is currently doing weights, I don't think the Principal will hire from within for the next coach

Cleaned house for the last two head coaches. Each only lasted 3 seasons :confused: That didn't work real well

Nice to hear that Scott will be using a committee to find their new coach. It's good to have varying ideas and opinions when it comes time to make your choice. To many schools leave it solely up to their ADs and principals when I think a Search Committee should be used that would include a parent or 2 and possibly even a student for some input. Unfortunately the ADS and Principals that I have encountered aren't fond of that idea. I just think it keeps things above board a bit more.

With regards to the Bellevue Asst. I have heard something similar but I have to believe that the taste of being burnt by another Asst Coach in the area a few years ago isn't a road the Scott people want to travel down.

Good luck to whomever takes on this job. I'm still not convinced that things will ever get much better then they were under Coach Fiske because of this open enrollment that Kenton Cty allows.

Is this true? I personally know a GREAT young coach out in Texas that applied and he should definitely get consideration! I told him it is a pipe-dream because I figured the position would be more popular. He is young and firery and could be what the program needs.

This position more times than not have been a career killer. Look back on the last half dozen coaches - ZERO- have gone on to be head coaches elsewhere with only one that I know of still coaching. He should apply if he's up to the battle.
