December 10, 200718 yr Author What would be the reason? How has he done so far this season? Talk in Louisville is academics. I'll let you know when the press conference begins.
December 10, 200718 yr Author Caracter has been suspended due to curfew violations. Don't know anything else right now, i.e length of suspension. Feel free to change the thread title.
December 10, 200718 yr University of Louisville men's basketball coach Rick Pitino said today that 6-foot-9 sophomore foward Derrick Caracter was suspended leaving the Cards with a big hole in the middle. Pitino said the decision was made "by the team." He added that Caracter has had a curfew since September and broke curfew twice. The Cardinals already are without 6-11 center David Padgett and 6-8 forward Juan Palacios, who are out with injuries. http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=200771210019
December 10, 200718 yr I sense a long year for basketball in the Bluegrass... It might put the brakes on the trash talking. "Haha, you lost to Southeast Rhode Island School for the Arts!" "Shutup! You lost to Western Alaska Technical and Community College!"
December 10, 200718 yr What would be the reason? How has he done so far this season? Sounds like more Caracter issues.
December 10, 200718 yr It seems as though Pitino has done almost everything possible to get and keep this kid on the right track.................if he does not tow the line it will be the fast track to the NBA........DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE.
December 10, 200718 yr DC is a mess. His curfew for Saturday night was 9 PM, which seems kinda harsh, but he didn't show up until 10:45. He got busted, then snuck back out later on in the night and got caught again. Supposedly Pitino will NOT cut him loose and kick him off the team. He feels like if he does Caracter will be a complete failure and will end up on the street, and RP says he would feel responsible. I hear they are making DC move out of Minardi Hall and into a regular student dorm and won't let him practice in the YUM center, where the rest of the Cards practice. I'm not sure if he will end up back on the team or not, but either way this kid has a lot of growing up to do. He's been given so many chances and just won't respond. Such a waste.
