I like your list, but a couple of thoughts:

 

-Manual is better than Bowling Green IMO. Bowling Green is either the #5 or #6 team in the state but it was pretty telling what happened to them in their three toughest games of the year outside playing Trinity in Trinity's first game of the year.

 

-I'd take John Hardin before I'd take Owensboro. John Hardin played straight up with Bowling Green and came far closer to knocking them off than Owensboro did. And they didn't have the benefit of 5 first half turnovers. If BG turns it over that many times against John Hardin, they lose.

Like I said, this is an opinion poll(kind of like the BCS, huh) and John Hardin could definately be in the conversation. They may well be better than Owensboro, but, I guess I know them a little better and the road win at Boone Co was pretty impressive to me. I felt they were a little better than what the rankings were giving them, all year. I think BGreen would have handled Manual and they were more impressive throughout the year. BG got beat by a very strong Highlands team, no disgrace in that. I don't think Manual would have fared any better. Lastly, I don't like to compare scores against common opponents, especially in the playoffs. I think most people would tell you BG played a better game, at least in the 2nd half, against Owensboro, then thay did against JH.

I'm not saying Manual is better than Bowling Green, but I see no evidence to make me think Bowing Green was more impressive or could have handled Manual.

That's laughable. T would punish the Birds.

 

Laughable? Trinity didn't punish BG the way Highlands did. As a matter of fact they were lucky to escape BG without a loss. With Trinity's defense, any game against a decent opponent is in question. The same cannot be said of the Bird's D.

In the future play X and T then you will know if you are the best. But you do have a good football team

 

The same can be said of X and T. Because they did not get the opportunity to play the Birds this year, neither can claim to be the State's best team.

Besides St X, the other best wins were Ballard, PRP, Central and Male. Ballard was talented but inconsistent(See Male loss), PRP was overrated, as they are every year(IMO), Central is a 3a team that Manual should handle and probably by a bigger margin and Male may have had there worse team in 10 years. I think BG handles all these teams and imo, John Hardin and Owensboro are stronger than any of the 4 and certainly Highlands and Trinity are. Like others have said, its all opinions and honestly, theres not much difference in #4 and 5, anyway.
