I can live with that! We will never know... I sure wish Trinity was on the BIRDS' schedule this year. Trinity has the size, but the BIRDS has the speed on the O and D-lines and they play was such great intensity - it would've been one heck of a match-up.

Very interesting considering Trinity gave up 28 to BG while Highlands beat BG 28-7.

 

I will take Highlands as #1 in state this year. There has been a few recent years where HHS or CCH was the best team in the state.

Yes, very few...9 out of 10 yrs on average, T or X is the Top team.. Don't kid yourself..

Highlands was the best TEAM I saw this year hands down! They play together and as a unit. Talk about peaking at the end of the year! I would have put them up against anyone at the end. Those seniors were determined to destroy anyone that tried to get in there way of a State Championship and that is exactly what they did. Congrats bluebirds!

Highlands beat BG 28-7, but one of Highlands TD's was a Hail Mary at the end of the first half and the other TD was after a BG Turnover in which Highlands got the ball on the BG 5 yd line.

 

Trinity's offense is better than Highlands. The Highlands defense was obviously better than Trinity simply by looking at the number of points given up to BG.

 

Having seen both teams play BG, Trinity is better than Highlands IMO.

I don't expect any Trinity fan to put Highlands at #1 but there is a whole different world outside of Boone Co. and Ryle in NKY.

I agree. I am watching the TV replay of the 5A game. Its even more evident on film how great the Birds played.

I have not seen St X or Trinity this year so I'm not going to say Highlands is better than either. If you look at Calpreps National rankings you will find Trinity #12, Highlands #18, and Lou St X at #29. I would say having 3 KY teams among the top 30 pretty impressive for a state that Ohio claims can't play football. Good job Kentucky :ylsuper:
