A high school game has become very tough to officiate. I think the three officials worked hard and both sides had complaints as usual.

Surprised to see a couple of birds flying from the visitors crowd. Must have been trying to get in from the cold Arctic weather.

Home crowd flew the birds. Mr. Jackson tried to silence them.

I sat behind the Fairview bench, and during one of the 2nd half timeouts I could clearly tell that the Fairview players were confused. I saw Rex pitch the dry erase board down on the chair and it looked something like this:

I personally thought a draw would have been best there!

 

What makes this play funny is that Rex was the black dot.:laugh:

Everyone gets caught up in the heat of the moment haha. I saw a couple of notable BGPers getting a little hot under the collar at the men in stripes. But not the new and slimmer Big Bubba. He was calm, cool, and collected.

When I officiated football in Ohio I was known to have run over a couple of coaches that got in my way on the sidelines. I'm sure a Symmes Valley assistant coaches still has nightmares of me. He hit the ground pretty hard. :lol::lol:

Wow! The big 2 combined for 41 of the teams 48 points just as everyone thought no other scoring support. I'll give them this it is just the 1st game, but cannot win many games like this.

The score could have been higher, but neither team wanted to push the tempo. I thought Tony Arthur did a good job on Hall early, but got into foul trouble. Tony is a defensive player, no surprise he didn't score, but he did contribute. He fouled out of the game midway into the 4th. Hall picked up MOST of his points with other people guarding him. Davis rebounded well and put in a couple of nice feeds from Euton. The "supporting cast" missed a lot of layups and easy shots. They will come around.

Hall was very good but Collins was the man for the Eagles last night. I don't think Elliot Co. had anything to worry about. No matter the outcome of the game they would have still been considered #1.

The 64th is going to be tough.

Rose Hill has great talent with the top two and I am sure the supporting cast will develop as the season moves along. This will become one of the better teams in the region before toournament time and that is what really matters.

Conrats to RH on the win :thumb:. I am not suprised at the outcome but I a suprised a little at the margin. That is not to slam Fairview, they have a good basketball team.

Jackson was the only Royal player who could keep Hall from getting his shot off anytime he wanted.

Collins also played a big game for the Eagles.

I don't think you are giving credit where it is due. Tony had Hall shooting awkwardly at the beginning of the game. Hall missed a lot of shots early. He went out of the game due to foul trouble and Camron scored allmost at will.

I thought Camron Hall played a very good defensive game also.

Cubster and I both commented on how well Hall played after the game. He's a solid player.
