All the schools around here are out.....It is snowy, wet and a bit icey.

Nothing here in Winchester.

We have about a Foot here in Louisa.. A foot of Mud that is. There is no school but I still have to be to work at 10.

We got about an inch and half here in Ashland. It's nice to look at and all but a pain in the rear to drive in because NO ONE KNOWS HOW TO DRIVE IN THE SNOW! Jeez these idiots in these giant SUV's just fly past you in the fast lane. I watched some moron in a Navigator skate right through a red light sideways on US 23 by the China Gourmet in Westwood this morning. He narrowly missed getting hit by a pick-up truck. Fellas, it doesn't matter how big your SUV is, 4 wheel drive does you no good on ice.

 

Fortunately when I came down the viaduct into Ashland around 7:20 it had just been cleared. It's usually like going down an Olympic Bobsled track in this kind of weather!

 

I guess I wouldn't mind the snow if people could drive in it. Everyone either goes 5 on the highway or they go too fast and try to brake too late. So while I worry not about me driving in the snow, it's 30 other idiots in my pack of cars I worry about.

I so wish i could show you all e-mails that a friend of mine sends out as a joke everytime there is a weather advisory....it is the FUNNIEST stuff you will ever read in your life!!!! :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

 

:lol: Something like that would be funny. I would like to read some of those. Come to think of it, I may try to think of a few of that type on my own to send out.

Here in London, Ohio we have 4 inches and it is still snowing. They are saying maybe another inch by 4pm then the snow will stop and turn cold. The Low for tonight is going to be 15.

 

Crazy thing is by Sunday it is suppose to be in the Low 50's and raining.

Don't say DUSTING....remember 1998????

:thumb: I remember a buddy of mine calling the local news station and leaving a message for the weather guy that forecasted exactly that (dusting to an inch), ask if if he wanted to come to his house and shovel 8" of flurries off of his driveway and walks. :lol:

 

They're looking for 2-1/2 to 3" for us.

That is about what we have here (maybe 3") in Raceland/Worthington (close to Ashland) area. Is already melting now. The temps next week are supposed to be in the upper 60's.

^ People turn that into 4-6 mentally.

:thumb: I agree TRR, I hate driving in but feel that I can handle it fairly well. One of if not my main gripe is the one that when you are going up a hill, the idiot ahead of you (or "at the front") starts to slide a litttle, panics and STOPS!! :irked: This usually causes any and everyone behind them to have to back down the hill and get another run at it. Not always but I have had to and have seen it more than once and have seen multiple vehicles Slide off the road/wreck that wouldn't have bc of this (trying to avoid the idiot at the front).

Must of went south.. I had 3 inches on my car this morning at 7am and Highland Hts is south of you.

We had some last night here in Mt. Olivet. I was told enough to cancel school but when I went out around 8 and it didn't look bad at all. Since then it rained a little and now back to some snow. I'm afraid we'll have another ice storm like a few years ago:eek:
