I wish I had my old beater Subaru. It did great in the snow.

Snow lost a lot of it's coolness to me after I got out of highschool. They don't call off work and college because we get an inch. It's actually kinda depressing.

When I was in Nebraska last year, they got 21 inches in a span of a couple days and even with that, we still had to come to work for at least a few hours before they eventually let us go home.

I like snow for about 5 minutes!

I cannot stand snow/anything about it and really don't care if I ever see another snow drop in my life. I can live with seeing a few flurries on Christmas Eve just for the visual effect - no accumulation, no more flurries/snow on any other day the rest of the year. Besides that, I don't like it :D.

I loved it when I was young and didn't have to deal with it and could just misss school and sleigh ride all day. Now that was good.

Not so much now, I guess aging does that to a person....

Another thing that am now convinved of is that Kroger (or your local grocery stoe) is behind the snow forecasts. Any time that snow (any anount) is forescast people rush to the store like they are not going to be able to get out of the house for 6 months and have to prepare an end of the world bomb shelter, these grocery chains pay off the local news/weather persons to forecast this. They make a mint $$ everytime snow is forecast..

:thumb: Same for me minus about 4 min / 45 seconds.

I so wish i could show you all e-mails that a friend of mine sends out as a joke everytime there is a weather advisory....it is the FUNNIEST stuff you will ever read in your life!!!!:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I had one of the old VW Bugs (with the engine in the back), you could climb a tree with those things.

I love the snow! Hopefully school gets called off tomorrow, then I will only have 1 more day this semester before finals wee!!!

I don't care what we get, as long as the roads are safe for all those traveling to Louisville Friday and Saturday.

I hope we don't get any....hard to travel.

I was in the local Kroger at lunch today and it was a madhouse.

Kind of like the theory that the local Chambers of Commerce control weather forecasts at the beaches; especially on holidays. It can look alike a hurricane out your window, but the weather report is likely as not to call for a chance of rain and mostly cloudy skies.

1) I don't want to give a presentation tomorrow.

2) I have 2 days left at my current job.

Yeah, I could get behind a snow day!

I think the snow is pretty IF it could snow on everything but the road it would be wonderful. OH and the temp, be about 30 with no wind .Perfect. ! ! ! :thumb:

I agree...everybody comes to my pharmacy wanting their refills 2 weeks early and I spend all day explaing to people that their insurance will not pay for an early refill. The abuse I take from this is unreal sometimes...C'mon..if your gonna make it worth my while to deal with this,at LEAST predict the next ICE AGE!!!!

Hey - insurance won't pay if you are 1 day early on filling a prescription (mine anyway). The weather forecaster's love all of the hoop-la building up to any bad weather "coming our way".
