I kept wishing Eli would go down during the playoffs. That kids gets an opportunity in 2 or so games and I think the chatter would start for him.

He got hurt in the middle of the year and when he came back they put him at #3....Have no clue why...Somebody needs to give him a chance he'll never get one in NY with Eli there....

He was part of that championship team that made it to the state finals and lost to Louisville Eastern. They had a loaded lineup back then with Eric Glaser 6'6, Derek Smith 6'5 and Lorenzen at 6'4, Stegman 6'2 and forget who the other starter was. They beat Paintsville in the semis on a tip in by Smith to advance.

I saw an advertisement in the Fort Thomas Living for Halls Hardwood and it was pretty cool. It stressed the importance of serving the community and had a couple of old team basketball photos that Brett Hall coached. I didnt see any names of the kids but they looked awful familiar. In fact I believe I saw Derek Smith and Lorenzen in one and another team had Ross Neltner on it. I would assume that those guys played for Brett's Halls Hornets teams.
February 9, 200818 yr Is Mason County in the BCI? I believe it was them and the Firehawks who had a heck of a game last year, 86 to 85, something along those lines. It was insane for a middle school AAU game.

It was some of the best ball the Wolfpack has played this year. They were also missing two starters. Once this team gets some practices (now that school ball is almost over), this team will be a force to be reckoned with.
February 10, 200818 yr LICENSED isn't the correct word, it's certified. There is no referee license, It's a certification process. However, Dave has just as many high school certified refs as some of the other places. The problem with BCI and other places, is what's the consequence for doing a bad job??? Go to the KHSAA website and check it out. You are licensed through the KHSAA. Let's not get caught up in symantics when talking about the dismal job most of the people do at the BCI trying to officiate games.

Once this team gets some practices (now that school ball is almost over), this team will be a force to be reckoned with. So if they are playing this well against 8th grade competition then its safe to assume they should be playing Div 1 downstate. If they picked up McClendon I definitely think they should. We faced 3 of the top 10 players in the state IMO at the 7th grade/ 13U level this weekend in McFarland/Portwood and Richardson and these 3 kids are on the Georgetown Thunder. That team can seriously contend with the Ville.
February 10, 200818 yr I thought the Wolfpack lost by 14 to one of those teams? So the Firehawks played the Tarheels last night and they, the Tarheels, hit about 14 straight 3 pointers.. I've never seen any team shoot like that in my life, it was insane..
