November 30, 200718 yr The poor man's Colts v. Pats. Seriously, it was a great game and I'm very impressed with the 'boys. I had a bad angle at the bar, but what was the deal with the Al Harris play at the the start of the game? From my view, he had every bit of that ball.
November 30, 200718 yr My fantasy season ended last night, Grant and Jennings had great games, Favre's injury is going to kill me, in BOTH of my leagues. That aside I was really pulling for the Pack in the one. I hope Favre gets healthy again and they roll from here on out.
November 30, 200718 yr Grant had a big night in my league! I also had Donald Lee who did so-so. Jason Witten did okay too, and Mason Crosby got my alot of points. As for the game, Rodgers looks like the QB will Favre decides to retire. He played very well for a back up. I hope to see these guys on TV in the playoff's. Unless its on NFL Network.
November 30, 200718 yr It's the NFL. EVERY team hae key injuries at this stage in the season. Although I do agree that this W by the Boys does not give Dallas the title of best NFC team. If Dallas at 11-1 is not the best NFC team, tell us who is.
November 30, 200718 yr If Favre didn't leave the game they would have been destroyed if he didn't change his menatality of just throwing it deep into double coverages. Obvioulsly Favre is one of the greatest, but as pointed out on people from the NFL network and ESPN after the game he got away from what he's been doing this year and tried to throw some horrible passes. Rodgers actually pled well enough for them to win if they could stop the Cowboys. The only two stops I remember them getting were on a 4th and 1 when Dallas should have kicked the FG to go up 14 and the pass that TO dropped in the end zone.
November 30, 200718 yr If Dallas at 11-1 is not the best NFC team, tell us who is. Watch out for the Saints. They are a game out of the playoff, remember this team did play in the NFC Title game last year.
November 30, 200718 yr If Bryant Gumbel said the wrong team one more time last night I was going to turn it off. He was really getting on my nerves. As for the game, I know that Green Bay had a lot of people out but they really couldn't stop Dallas at all. The game ended up a closer score than it would have if Dallas wouldn't have shot themselves in the foot a couple times. Favre going out might have actually helped them because he was playing awful, plus is shows that the future is bright. And as for that play at the beginning, clearly should've been the Packers ball... Oh well.
November 30, 200718 yr Farve just said that he thought he would be back from the elbow that he had the same problem last year and came back. He said it's pretty swollen right now and he had no feeling in his last two fingers. During the press confrence he was asked if he had a seperated non throwing shoulder and he was hesitant to answer. He ended up saying he did but he would shoot it up and play if he had too. 249 straight games he has started! That is AMAZING for a QB that throws as much as he does! ESPN said it was 269 including playoff games. He is amazing. Forget a throwing quarterback, that's fantastic for a kicker!
November 30, 200718 yr Watch out for the Saints. They are a game out of the playoff, remember this team did play in the NFC Title game last year. They have TB at home this weekend. Do or die for the Saints. Right now, at 5-6, I hesitate to put them in NFC best conversation
November 30, 200718 yr They have TB at home this weekend. Do or die for the Saints. Right now, at 5-6, I hesitate to put them in NFC best conversation I know that but if this team gets in watch out...:flame:
November 30, 200718 yr How does TO not get flagged for the popcorn? That was worse then what CJ did. :irked:
November 30, 200718 yr Dallas abused Al Harris. The key play of the game, IMO, was in the third quarter following a Green Bay TD that made it 27-24, the defense had Dallas in a third and 19 (I think) and Al Harris, for some inexplicable reason, decided to defend the 5 yard pass and let Crayton run free for a 35 yard reception. Had Green Bay stopped them on that play, I think the outcome may have been different. Rodgers looked really good. It shouldn't be that big of a surprise considering he was a first round draft pick and has been in the league for several years now. If nothing else was accomplished last night, I think the myth that Brett Favre is the Packers whole team was busted...they played much better after he left the game, especially offensively.
November 30, 200718 yr That was worse then what CJ did. :irked: Pouring popcorn in your mouth is worse than jumping up on an expensive camera and panning it all over the place how?
