Farva Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 This game means nothing when discussing which team is the best in the NFC as Brett Favre didn't play for almost 3 quarters.
WebGems37 Posted November 30, 2007 Author Posted November 30, 2007 A few stats... Tony Romo 309 yds, 19-30, 4 Td's, 1 Int Terrel Owens 156 yds, 7 Recs, 1 Td
titletownclown Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Huge win for the Boys.:dancingpa Barber has turned into a heck of a RB. Romo 4 TD's 1 Int and just over 300 yds passing. I hated to see Favre get injured and hope he is back next week. Still no clear dominant team in the NFC, but these 2 teams are obviously still the cream of the NFC crop.
John Anthony Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 So there is life after Farve and people on Mars?
HammerTime Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Not to take anything away from the Boys but I would love to see these to teams go at each other at full strength.
stick1 Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I don't think tonight proved anything as far as who will be in the Super Bowl. Garrett called an amazing game for "The Boys". Romo was on fire! Barber should be the full time back there in the playoffs! The Packers came into the game short handed without KGB, Woodson and their safety. I'd say that is GREAT news for them. Green Bay battled without Farve and really couldn't have started much worse as far as getting their wideouts involved. Farve being out is hard to gage because Rodgers played lights out! He was like 14 of 15 at one point I think. If they match up again then it will be in Dallas. Beating Dallas in "Big D" is tough but I think beating a team that is really good twice is even tougher especially when they played that close with all the guys the Pack had out! I really think the Packers need to get Ryan Grant the ball more! 14 carries 97 yds. He already broke 100 yds vs the Vikings who don't give up 100 yds rushers.
Farva Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 The Packers will win the NFC North, and I can only hope that they play the Cowboys again, because it WILL be a different story.
titletownclown Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 This game proved nothing as far as who the best team in the NFC is, come back to me when they beat the Packers with their best player on the field. It's the NFL. EVERY team hae key injuries at this stage in the season. Although I do agree that this W by the Boys does not give Dallas the title of best NFC team.
youknowme Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 A few stats... Tony Romo 309 yds, 19-30, 4 Td's, 1 Int Terrel Owens 156 yds, 7 Recs, 1 Td I'm pretty sure T.O. only had 1 catch in the second half.
stick1 Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Farve just said that he thought he would be back from the elbow that he had the same problem last year and came back. He said it's pretty swollen right now and he had no feeling in his last two fingers. During the press confrence he was asked if he had a seperated non throwing shoulder and he was hesitant to answer. He ended up saying he did but he would shoot it up and play if he had too. 249 straight games he has started! That is AMAZING for a QB that throws as much as he does!
oldrambler Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Favre is amazing and that is the understatement of the century. I hope that he can come back and I believe that he will. I didn't get to watch this one bc of the NFL/J.Jones network :irked: (Jerry Jones..just another reason to dislike "the Boys:rolleyes:" - they have so many though. Anyway, Romo was great. I can't take anything away from him. I was just watching highlights and looking at the stats. Congrats to the Plowboys and hpefully the Pack will get another shot at them in Jan..
youknowme Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Dallas got their 6th straight win & it clinched a playoff berth. This victory could become pivotal because it might mean a rematch in the NFC championship game would be at Texas Stadium instead of Lambeau Field.
