5wide Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Who will he be pitching for next season? Reports say the Red Sox and Yankees are both in discussion with the Twins...if the Red Sox land Santana, it will be a huge blow to the Yankees, IMO. Imagine facing that team in a playoff series with Beckett and Santana as the game 1 and 2 pitchers and then Dice-K and Curt Schilling as your 3 and 4 pitchers. It would be hard to see them losing with the team they have and pitchers like that. I suspect Santana will end up in pinstripes. I think the fear of how good Boston could be with him will drive the Yankees to outbid the Sox and pay whatever it takes to get him in their rotation and keep him out of Boston. This is a pretty big off-season story. Any thoughts?

I hope the Yanks have what the Twins are looking for...
gamer31 Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Look out for Krivsky....He's gonna sneak in and steal him!!
westsider Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 If I'm the Twins, the Yankees' offer better start with Phillip Hughes and Joba Chamberlain ...
stickymitts Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 If I'm the Twins, the Yankees' offer better start with Phillip Hughes and Joba Chamberlain ... Which frightens me, because that won't happen...

stickymitts Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 When did you become a Yankees fan? Um...14 years ago... They're a VERY close #2 behind the Reds...
5wide Posted November 29, 2007 Author Posted November 29, 2007 Um...14 years ago... They're a VERY close #2 behind the Reds... For me, the Reds would be a #2 behind the Red Sox...not even that close for me. Kinda like in the NFL, the Titans are my team. The poor old offenseless Titans.
bigblueinsanity Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 NY gets whatever it wants...Therefore I think they get Johan.
bigblueinsanity Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I hope the Reds or Redsox gets him. Reds? Do we have any money left after getting that closer?
98NCCalum Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Reds? Do we have any money left after getting that closer? Probably not, but those are the only two teams I give a rats about.
happy ol' dad Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 I choose the Yankees but then the other place would be the Mets...
