To get a 15 yard penalty that allows the other team to get points is selfish.

 

I thought he wasn't celebrating anymore b/c they were losing and there was no reason to celebrate. That's what he said and you agreed. Myself and some others said it was b/c he hasn't scored since week 2. Who was right?

 

I stand by what I said. If you read some of the comments before the game. He had teammates and former coaches saying that they wanted Chad to go back to his old self and just have fun out there, and that is what he did. I believe if these people weren't telling him to do that, then he still would not have done any celebrating. I mean just look at the two td's after the first one, he did not do any celebration at all. I really believe that they probably even told him that if he scores that he can go ahead and do a celebration. I mean just look how he performed after he did get that touchdown. He ended up having an awesome game, and it looked like he was just back to his old self and was just having fun playing football again. Which I think some people have forgotten that football is a sport and is suppose to be fun. I mean if for some reason it takes Chad Johnson having fun for him to produce then I am all for it. I mean we have seen twice now in the last two years, when Chad has decided not to do any celebrating or anything that his numbers have not been as good. So if he goes out there and has fun and gets us his 100 yard receiving days and getting td's then I am all for it. I sure we wont be seeing these celebration penalties again either. I think it was just more of a statement thing to get him back on track and having fun out there...

Come on guys seriously, you all love to find pretty much the only negative thing about the Bengals game and harp on it. It's sad really....

I am not taking anything away from the Bengals victory, awesome win.

 

This is more for the Titan people out there, it is absolutley amazing how much the defense has gone downhill since the Haynsworth injury. I guess that is why most considered him the mid way point defensive MVP.

 

For sure...in a normal year, you could have made a case for him being the overall MVP with the way the Titans have collapsed without him. He's a stud...and a head case. I don't trust him personally...this is a contract year, so it's no coincidence that he's playing out of his mind. I seriously question if he'll stay this motivated if he gets the contract he wants...if he doesn't, he'll get franchised, sit out training camp and play like the old Haynesworth...dominant for 25 snaps, and MIA for the rest. But, when he brings it, there are none better at that position, IMO.

Ok, so now you're guessing that he was told to dance if he scored. You have no idea if that's true or not, but it's ok b/c you think there's a chance he was told to celebrate if he scored.

 

The facts are he said there was no need to celebrate until they are at least

.500. They are 4-7. We said he hasn't celebrated b/c he hasn't scored. He scores they aren't .500 and he celebrated so you make up a guess that he may have been told to dance. Priceless. He better not have celebrated on the 2nd or 3rd. He's a very good player that cares a lot about winning, but only if he's a reason they're winning, his numbers are good, and there's a camera on him while its happening.

The sad thing is that it never changes. One of their best players has a different set of rules than other players and gets away w/ constantly dropping passes, faking injuries, collecting penalties, and collecting fines. I think it's great that he finally wore the correct uniform and chin strap.

You all keep saying it was definitely selfish. But how do you all know that maybe Marvin and his teammates told him if he scores to go ahead and celebrate.

 

If this happened, Marvin would have already said so to take the heat off of Chad. If Marvin did want him to in order to get him out of his funk and instructed him to do whatever he wanted, then good for CJ. I doubt it happened this way though. Not exactly Marv's style. Chad seems to tell Marv how its going to be and not the other way around.

That one comes to mind, but there are others. He also gets away w/ fumbling and just sitting there while a guy picks the ball up 2 feet away from him and surrenders himself down only to not be touched and get up to run it back for a TD that would have been great if it counted.

Like what other injuries has he supposively "faked" as you have said? Also on that fumble, he had no way to get back on the fumble. You are right he should have tried to touch him, but then again no one else on the team except for one guy was trying to touch him down either. Everyone on the bengals were just standing around. But of coarse only Chad gets called out on it...I really would like to know about these injuries he has faked that you know about...
